Ya know, I was excited by Steve Bulpett's report that we're looking to trade up for Kasparas Jakucionis. I was excited for a minute, until I realized who is leaking this name to bulpett? We all know Steve Bulpett was tight with Danny Ainge. So is Austin Ainge feeding our plans to Bulpett?

Like, what the heck. Why can't the front office play their cards closer to the vest. This is three years in a row, long wing (Walsh, O-Max, or Julian Phillips) in 2023 got leaked. Last year Baylor Scheierman got leaked to Givony. And this yr, Bulpett is announcing C's target the night before the draft.

What the heck? Is this revenge of Austin Ainge, lol, but not really... lol

How are we so tight with trades and so loose with drafts?

Okay - just got back from a gym sesh, so 14 pages of content to catch-up on. I still regularly read this forum however many years later, and, frankly, I enjoy a rebuild/retooling more than high expectation season. In any case, while out, I did have the thought, particularly given this time of year - with all the salary shedding, can RealGM Celtics forum afford to bring back Caveman for some future picks? (also - what happened to him? Humblebum style flameout, possibly over Jaylen Brown?)

Since the Cs already have Baylor and Niang, I expect the next trade will be Sam Hauser.

Trading Sam will give the Cs some cap space for Luke and Al.

We really aren’t much different than last season before injury. Yes, we’re down Tatum, this same team was good without him (won without Jrue too IIRC). Just stay good until he comes back a month or so before the playoffs.

I never said we’ll win or get to the chip, I’m just not counting us out and thinking will be trash. We haven’t done much of anything that tells me we are much worse. Much worse than the chip team? ABSOLUTELY, but that was what we were last season anyway.

I know what some of you are saying, I heard you, I’m just not listening right now.

I really want to know what has changed from last season, so far? What have we lost?

I would rather us be trash than roll around with this mid as **** roster for years to come.

They team had to shed salary in a big way. They couldn't trade for equal value.

At this point, Jrue looks done and Simons is the better player. KP is pure trash in the playoffs. So he got traded for trash because he had no value in the league. He will play really good in the regular season for the Hawks and crumble in the playoffs.

I agree with the needing to save money.

I fimd it hard to believe that thisnwas thr best option.

And DeRozan not a reliable 3pt shooter does not fit in with Joe-Ball.

Just look at what Brad got for Jrue and KP.

Both Simons and Niang shoot a lot of 3s.

No comment BUT homie absolutely had his moments, good and bad (on the unlikely event he reads this, my apologies, but I know he dropped some absolute dimes a few times), and it's like Thanksgiving (this time of year) without your uncle. If I ever get eff you money, I will finance a VH1 style Behind the Music for C's Realgm (also curious what happened to Truth18 - I think he made the swap, but my lasting memory of him was the Fleetwood Mac - The Chain video postings during the last playoff run he was around for). I followed the discord thing for about 2 weeks, seemed fire, but I'm a creature of habit and never would've left the ESPN Message Boards I was creeping in middle school if they didn't get shut down.

(ETA - I think I was probably most present in this forum 05-08, then 11-12; I'll probably continue to creep so long as ConstableGeneva keeps Allison Brie as his avatar)

Yea as long as they keep those three, when they step on the court together we will be good.

Tatum, Brown, White is a championship level core. They just need to find a dominant big man by the time Tatum gets back.

So you keep your 3 best players and their cap holds. How do you get better? You're not signing anyone and you got nothing to trade.

Called draft and develop. And using The MLE and such to aggregate contracts.

My goodness, the salary cap isn’t that difficult to manage. The issue with the roster is two max guys. If they can’t sustain, trade Brown.

If people still think we may trade Hauser, why don’t we load him up with Niang and some seconds and get one 20ms guy that has shown a few flashes but his team isn’t too hooked on him atm.


Thinking Utah or Minny types may have someone we can shake loose.

One more question. Why is Bkln the only team flushed with money?? All these perpetually TERRIBLE teams don’t have beaucoup money is wild to me!
