Have to consider he's the 2nd youngest player in the draft and playing in a decent pro league, of course he's more likely to be a role player in this situation. If he were showing a ton of offensive skill instead of having it be more projection, he would be a top 3 pick in this draft.

There are rumblings that Queen could be selected as high as No. 7, where he has a big fan in Pelicans general manager Troy Weaver, a fellow DMV (DC/Maryland/Virginia) native, a move that would send the draft in a completely different direction should it materialize.

We've been scouting the French prospects folks. We're probably getting 2 of them out of this draft.

Quickley/Shead
Barrett/Ochai
Ingram/Dick/Walter
Barnes/Essengue
Poeltl/Chomche

It's becoming super obvious RJ is getting moved. We need to make room for Walter.

Thinking it's Noa unless the Nets take him. Last minute workout and leaving his team right before the playoffs?

If a guy of that profile is going to be a role player i would rather go for CMB to be honest. I take Noa if they think they can turn him into a scorer. Good to see him hitting threes in that video against Portland. Saw a couple of recent game highlights where he didn't take or didn't make any

The absolute worst draft day outcome. That’ll be evidence
that Masai has botched the re build or that Rogers has already
begun meddling and we’re headed back to the Araujo days.

I appreciate but don’t get this position at all. If by rebuild you mean the multi-year tank then yes, it’s over!

That said, it was over the moment they were able to trade 2 overpaid bench players and a late first for BI, an often injured but immensely talented offensive player. His 3 yr deal is effectively an under market 2 yr prove it contract so that’s your new window.

The East is wide open and as much as I like RJ, there won’t be enough touches for him as they will go to BI, Scottie and IQ. There’s only one ball and you need quality high impact/ low usage players around those three like Jak. Enter the Cam Johnson possibility, he does everything we hope Gradey or Jakobe will become in a taller form and who can defend his position decently. He is a high percentage, high volume movement shooter who actually makes the variety of tough three’s this team needs now and over the next few years. No one we can get at #9 steps into the starting lineup this year and can do that. The fact we’d likely also get some combination of picks #19, 22, 26 or 27 means we’ll still get decent cost controlled players who might actually be something in a few years while taking advantage of a week East now!

Good points. A Cam Johnson type player is a better fit than RJ, but, unfortunately, Cam Johnson has been more of theoretical player throughout his career. Across 8 seasons he averages over 30 missed games to injury. His best statistical seasons are for a dreadful, tanking Brooklyn team. More, he’s four years older than RJ. While he may fit our team better, I do no think he is a better player than RJ overall.

Add to that, that two mid/late firsts are normally not enough to get into the lottery, particularly in a strong draft like this- I think Raptors are settling for the least value in draft capital and the least valued player.

And for what? Some minor cash savings? Feels like Rogers to me.

None of our young players have done enough to warrant this. We already played them a bunch of mins last season, they will need to earn them this year with their play.

Obviously they wouldn't see him as a role player but more as someone with a lot of raw tools they can mold into something more.

FYI...he comes from the same team that gave us Killian Hayes.

Small forward version of Siakam could be Noa. Don’t mind it at all. I think Bryant just doesn’t have enough data, Coward seems to be trying to dictate where he goes if he did indeed say that about our championship. CMB is still in play though, not sure who they like more so I guess we’ll find out.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

DQ with Zion's influence...there are not enough beignets in New Orleans to satisfy those appetites.

I hope Kon drops if Noa is taken before us. Nets could also just be doing it to get us to trade up.
