Terrible baserunning by Elly de la Cruz to not get to third on a ball to the outfield on the very next batter.

Cleveland start Luis Ortiz has been placed on administrative leave pending some sort of on-going investigation which the team, MLBPA and MLB aren't disclosing at present.

Update: Jeff Passan says the investigation is into gambling.

That's awful, because it's really easy for a starting pitcher to suck on any given day, so many ways even short of throwing a game for that pitcher to torque things to win a bet or help a gambler do so for a payoff.

Go check how Raleigh received that ball and you’ll see why that is.

Not everyone has the best defensive catcher in baseball like the Jays do though.

Feels like every or every other year the 4th place team in the AL beast is above .500 and 1000x more than any other division since I've started watching mlb in 07
