Pelicans Trade CJ McCollum To Wizards For Jordan Poole, Saddiq Bey

The New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to trade CJ McCollum, Kelly Olynyk, and a future second round pick to the Washington Wizards for Jordan Poole, Saddiq Bey and the No. 40 pick.

what is New Orleans getting in that trade? what do i overlook? they dont generate capspace, they get the inferior low IQ Player and they dont get any Picks or young Talents.

they get younger with a guy that matches the timeline of their other players and a solid rotational guy in Bey. maybe a fresh start will motivate Poole to ball out like he did in GS when he is in a situation where he is undoubtedly not the main guy

New Orleans realizes they are not a free agent hot bed and this is as good as they can do right now. McCollum in a contract year would have been moved at the deadline where teams generally get less. This is a low risk trade with some potential. Bey should be hungry for some shots.

they get to fulfill Troy Weaver's wishes ...

he should be clearing a pathway for TMIII - Troy, being the crap GM that he is, is naturally doing the opposite.
