LOVE his fit with Trae. It’s perfect.
Obviouslyyyy, if he stays healthy. He’s incredibly talented and just an awesome teammate and dude. Hope he crushes it.
I don’t think y’all gave up a lot. Worthy gamble.

Hawks just spent 10 cents to the dollar.
Hawks taking advantage of the Celtics' salary cap nightmare.
Tap is on the decline and will be lucky to get 40 games out of him. Hawks should just sit him for the first half of the year and then do load management until May and then give him serious minutes in the playoffs.
If the Hawks play him +50 games next year, they will just have an AD situation.

Excellent trade for us and a low risk.
It fills many needs.

Did not expect this to happen. I'd say this is a huge win for us if we can get roughly 60 load balanced games from him and a playoff run. Getting off of Mann and Niang is even more of plus. Onsi already making impactful moves in his first few months of being the GM.

Porzingis is decent, but even at his best, i have always been disappointed with his rebounding.

Looks like a good move. More likely to come to complete the bench

Uau... impressive trade.
If healthy, he gives us a different dimension in what we can do on the court.
I could not believe my eyes when I read the news at 2 am here in Spain after a night in local celebrations for the beginning of the summer.
I was expecting him to go to Phoenix. I was never expecting our management to get such a unique and different player.
It is a pity we have to separate ways with Mann, as he is like a humble and good person and also a valuable player. But Porzingis can give us a lot.
Also we have absorb just 7/8 million more than what we let go in Mann and Niang, also using our pick in getting a differential, veteran player that we need much more than a rookie.

League sources say San Antonio, in the end, showed considerable interest in a trade for Boston’s Kristaps Porzingis before Atlanta emerged Tuesday afternoon as the most determined suitor and eventual winner of the trade race to acquire the Latvian big man. https://marcstein.substack.com/p/the-latest-nba-trade-talk-free-agency-dc5
