Yup, they have 5 open roster spots plus 5 guys with team options. So potetinally 10 open roster spots, if they wanted.

My hornets will be idiots and draft kon over tre, because hornets DNA type ****. DNA that is all losing. I like kon around 10 not at 4.

I think the Jazz are likely to draft Ace Bailey at #5 and keep him, especially if VJ and Tre are off the board. There's genuine interest in Fears, but I have a hard time seeing him go ahead of Ace. I guess we'll see.

Hornets were one of the worst three point shooting teams in the NBA, Tre Johnson might be the best three point shooter in the draft. Josh Green is hurt, giant hole at shooting guard. Johnson makes too much sense, so of course, the Hornets are going to pass on him.

I'm going to be a Charlotte resident this time next week, so I'd like the team to be decent so I can go see some games.

I had to check game online to be sure he is not in the game, and he is not, Ulm is down 19-24.

They tried to postpone the game (or games), but the German league said "Naaah, we can't do that, but we could factor in the NBA Draft in future years" (which helps Ulm a lot in the current final series). They had feared that Ben Saraf would also fly to the draft, but he decided to play.

There was some controversy back in the day because Dirk flew to the Nike Hoops Summit game while his 2nd division team was fighting for promotion. But that game was a massive chance and it was what put him on the map. Donnie Nelson drafted him because he saw him practice in Dallas. But missing the deciding game(s) for the national championship because you sit in some big arena with a suit is nuts. I mean, I get it's great for a young player to get called on that stage in the NBA Draft, but leaving your team during one of the biggest days in club history?

Josh Green is also trash. Hes not a starting caliber nba player. Getting Johnson and having Tre Mann back would be huge for us at sg.

I understand wanting to be there, but your team is in a finals and nothing is guaranteed for you, you are just a role player from Ulm after all, this could be the only time you are in any kind of finals in your career, loser move.

Feel like two of CMB, Queen or Maluach will go higher in the draft than people expect. Think a lot of the top rated guards/players are a bit boom or bust and might not allow those guys to have the same scoring roles in the league afforded to them outside of a few spots.

Revisiting Essengue’s scouting report highlights, I’ve come around on him for the 9th pick. If the raptors do go his way I’d totally understand why.

Between a Defensive big like Maluach and an Offensive big like Queen, Essengue at 6’11 could play that pseudo-big position as he is a wing. Also i think he goes first overall as a prospect in last year’s draft. I’m taking this kid over Rissacher.

I’d imagine in smaller lineups when he gets stronger (shocked to learn the kid is only 18) he can slide into those 5 out small ball lineups and be a decent enough helpside defender. I especially like the pick if we keep Jakob as they both seem to be players that have decent enough play making at your big positions. The high-low synergy should be good.

Also at the 9th position I’m seeing a lot of good players. I think Noa may have the highest upside (Maybe Carter Byrant???). Excited to see who we pick but I think we’re going to get a decent player.

I’m expecting serious fireworks tonight. There’s going to be a ton of trades. I think SA moves out of #2

I would be absolutely shocked if they do and it would be because someone made an absolutely ridiculous offer for the pick. I fully expect them to keep the pick and select Harper. 14th pick has a much higher chance of being traded

I anticipates trades too. Some teams with too many draft picks, some teams trying to blow it up, some trying to go all in. I think even with current CBA, it will be interesting night.

I honestly can't wait. Draft will be in the middle of the night, so I wont be watching live, I will wake up, try to not click anything and find a replay and then will try to read this thread to see what discourse I missed. This usually happens to me, but I get super exited for the draft, but then I start watching and remember how boring it actually is lol. I think I will start watching, but then will probably boot some game and listen to draft in the background. Last year I watched all the second day Bronny garbage, because I was interested to see will my countryman Mantas Rubštavičius get drafted. This year we have Kasparas, he probably gets drafted in the lottery and after that I will probably lose a lot of interest. But I anticipate trades, so I will try to watch the whole thing.

It's hard to say, but at the position we are picking, I don't think the best players from our pick of the litter will be elite at ball handling coming out. For that reason, I hope we don't fall in love with Kasparas or even Egor. I hope we aim for a "high-upside, elite at one or two skills and room to grow" type of player. I'd think players like Carter Byrant, Noa Essengue, Colin Coward, Maluach, possibly CMB (if they believe his shooting will come around); I think those are the players we should be looking at with our pick. I may be wrong, but building a quick twitch team with good young athleticism seems to match Darko's system best.

I'm nervous!

Some Celtics fans started trading our entire roster as soon as our season ended but I am attached to my guys and yesterday was rough lol. Hoping there are no more fireworks for me if I'm being honest. With my brain stuff I'm sensitive to noise and hate fireworks anyway haha.

Would be crazy if you guys traded Jaylen Brown

Kinda hoping the Spurs can get D. White back though, even if we have 100 guards  I miss that dude

It's so dumb. 2nd round picks actually matter in the NFL and often are key players on teams.
