Thank god we're not the ones getting fleeced for a 37-year-old for once. Rockets saving Frank from himself.

I'm happy they didn't cave and trade Zubac. If the Suns would have accepted the rumored trade centered around Powell that would have been great, but the Rockets certainly offered a better deal

Interesting deal for Houston.. if KD's healthy definitely helps them now, boosts them offensively and experience wise, and has defensive length and size around him with Thompson/JSJ/Eason.

Any season after the next two, and probably even after the next one season.. is questionable to me, how consistent, impactful KD's level of play is when it counts.

Wonder if Cam Whitmore sticks around or gets moved.. maybe gets a consistent bench role now with both Green/Brooks gone, and Eason probably being promoted to full time starter; but I don't think Whitmore wants that and probably will be better than that in time.. he improves his jumpshot enough he'll be a very nice player at SF/PF.

Clips would benefit to go grab him.

What a deal for Boston. Sheesh.

What’s Portland thinking. It doesn’t sound like they’re flipping him.

had to get off the salary. after watching the finals, the clippers have zero chance with only Harden as the ball handler. U need to have multiple guys who can bring the ball up the court and start a legit offense structure. Ty s offense sucks also. And I dont think Kawhi can make it that many games.

If you have, "the system" on your team, it's very hard for any coach, despite how hard they try to have a more flow based offense. Not to mention having both the system, and Kawhi, who can play in a more flow offense, but loves iso.

There are some personnel reasons for why the offense is how it is. Even look at Indiana's offense with Hali vs McConnell. McConnell does wellz but he's not the same type of quick ball mover like TJ, so you see the difference.

Indiana's offense vs OKC, huge difference. If Shai was on the Clippers, we'd probably hear complaints about the coaches offense, but there's a part of it that is also the players game.

No one has yet to be successful making Harden move off the ball consistently.

This isn't the NFL. The closest was the Triangle.

"Pace and Space Emphasis: The NBA has shifted toward a faster-paced, three-point-heavy game. The Triangle relies on precise passing, cutting, and mid-range shooting, which doesn't align with the current trend of prioritizing pick-and-rolls, isolation plays, and high-volume three-point shooting to maximize offensive efficiency.
Complexity and Learning Curve: The Triangle is a complex system requiring significant time to master. Modern NBA teams, with shorter training camps and frequent roster changes, often prefer simpler, more adaptable offensive schemes that can be quickly implemented.
Player Skill Sets: Today's players are often specialized as shooters, slashers, or playmakers. The Triangle demands versatile players who can read defenses, make quick decisions, and execute precise movements, which doesn't always suit the skill sets of modern rosters."

I could see Bey still being moved elsewhere later. Sux for McCollum.

Trade season in full swing...

Won't be surprised if Simons explodes in Boston.

Seriously ... Porzingis has health issues, no doubt. But he's also an expiring deal that plays well when he plays. I get that Boston wants to shed more salary--but, wow. Georges Niang and a second rounder?

I took SO MUCH GARBAGE from the know-nothings for telling it like it was about T.

I never "hated" him. It's just that he has a couple good games a month and spends the rest of it running up and down the court doing nothing. The Cardio Kid, they call him. He barely saw the court in the ATL play-ins, which they lost twice.

Toldja we were lucky to dump his contract. I'm gonna bet signing him to it was Ballmer's idea and L-Frank's ace move pawning him off on the Hawks. I'm not an L-Frank fan, but I think he takes a lot of blame for Ballmer's bright ideas.

So weird to see Porzingis get traded for that..

But clearly a money thing and Boston doesn't intend to compete/contend next season.. have an entertaining team with some familiar faces, and call it a year for them.

I would like geting Xaiver Tillman at backup big. Always liked his game as a tough utility big who is an agile defender, he showed he can shoot the three ok earlier in his career with Memphis. Not over 30 either : )

Hasn't had the same kind of role with Boston as he did with Memphis on those playoff teams.

Get two different strong looks against Jokic with Zubac, and Tillman.

https://basketball.realgm.com/player/Xavier-Tillman-Sr/Summary/88905

I bet he'll be able to be had with Boston basically setting up the tanks for next Fall.

Kyrie extended for 3/120 while nursing an injury.

Now I can't see a way Harden settles for another 1+1 year extension around 40 Million. :o If do, would be a major win for Frank.

Clippers invested five and a half seasons into Terrance Mann and the Hawks dumped him after seeing him play on their team for thirty games.

I kind of feel bad for Mann- he plays hard and has many NBA skills. He just never developed his offensive skills to be very effective- mainly usually isn't aggressive enough
