The overwhelming sentiment in league circles is that Phoenix continues to target a big man with the 10th pick it now happily holds.

We've been writing for days now about the Suns' desire to find a starting-level center and generally upgrade their frontcourt ever since they failed to even reach the Play-In Tournament. Phoenix is known to be eager to add to its frontline even after the midseason acquisition of Nick Richards.

In the No. 10 range, it remains to be seen which players will be available after Toronto selects at No. 9 ... or the Raptors trade that selection elsewhere. Two names I've been told to monitor for the Suns on NBA Draft Eve at No. 10: Maryland's Derik Queen and Michigan's Danny Wolf.

Derik Queen would be nice, but please not Danny Wolf. Though I fear him being from Michigan might have a factor.

Yes, agreed. Hopefully we can get Wolf with the 2nd pick if they move up.

I posted it elsewhere, but thoughts on Broome at 29? Solid player and one of the best last season for Auburn. We could do a lot worse if he's still there.

Someone explain Collin Murray-Boyles to me in case we end up drafting him because I've seen us mocked to take him at #10. I get he's an athletic, high motor guy who plays both sides of the court but he's also what a 6-7 sophomore? If I want a guy with a high motor that plays game changing defense and is a fit offensively....give me Sorber who's a legit 6'10 with a 7'6 wingspan, younger and is a freshman. Hell I reckon we could trade down and still grab Sorber

I dunno if Essengue is the right one but gambles might be about the only path to relevance for the foreseeable future here lol

We need to Trade Beal +10 and 2nds for a couple players and a pick 15-20.

Get Wolf or Rasheer Fleming and then our pick get Kalkbrenner.

PF / C would have youth and players that are ready to go.

The ringer has Traore at #28, I'd love to take a flyer on him as a high upside PG at #29. Speedy floor general with question marks on shooting, defense and physical built, but with lots of upside. He was projected to be a lottery pick at the start of this past season.

This is the way I see it as well, it's also why I don't mind trading down. Maybe we can turn #10 into 3 picks and draft three high-upside guys with the hope that one of them works out.

I don't have a stat on this, but I feel like the draft largely becomes a crap shoot after the first few picks and that teams trading down typically het the better end of the deal.

I don't disagree. I just think Essengue is a bit too wild of a haymaker to throw

I mean....Cousins pre-draft was already 6'11, 290lbs with a 7'6 wingspan while putting up 23/15/3blks in 23.5mpg. CMB is just under 6'8 240lbs and put up respectable 20/10 in 30mpg. I'm not sure what Zimmerman was looking at.

He's a flyer I'm pretty high on. I don't think he'll be there at #28 and may be a trade up candidate.

I guess just the way he can score in unconventional ways. Not always set. Not always the best shot but puts up stats. Not always in great shape either. IDK. All these guys have question marks lol

He's a bit like Dunn with a 3ball. Not as good defensively obviously but has that athleticism and defensive chops to be a menace on that end. Just wondering if it's a bit reductive having those two playing similar positions 3/4 and both being undersized at the 4.

I'm of the thought I'd rather draft someone else and try to develop Dunn's 3 ball which showed some promise and hope he turns into what Bryant could be.

He kind of reminds me of KAT and he actually can shoot well and is obviously highly skilled in the post. Concern is a lack of rim protection.
