Final Draft Day Board:

1) Cooper Flagg
2) Dylan Harper
3) Derik Queen
4) Jeremiah Fears
5) CMB
6) VJ Edgecombe
7) Tre Johnson
8) Kasparas Jakucionis
9) Kon Knueppel
10) Nique Clifford
11) Noa Essengue
12) Adou Thiero

More difficult than I thought. The only one I don't completely love is Harper at 2, but I can't argue with the stats.

At this point I don't feel confident that any of the players available at 3 will be stars. I'll trust whatever Morey does to be the right thing.

In a way, it's a bummer we have Maxey and McCain because I believe 2 or 3 of Fears, Richardson, and Clayton Jr. will be selected to at least one All-Star game. To round out the average 5-6 All-Stars per draft, I'd add Flagg, Harper, and Edgecombe. HM is Sorber.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
Oubre/Edwards/Council
George/Watford/Walker
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

I could definitely see Jaylen Brown and 28 for 8 and 19 being announced later today, wouldn't be official until the new league year starts and BKN actually has 90M (or whatever) in room available.

Why trade George? Are we poor?

A few George salary match options...

4. Bridges + Nurkic or LaMelo + G. Williams
5. Lauri OR Collins + Clarkson + KJ (lol) OR Collins + Sexton
6. Middleton + Smart
7. Zion + at least $2 mil
8. C. Johnson + Claxton
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
Oubre/Edwards/Council
George/Watford/Walker
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

If we trade PG, I imagine that's signaling the beginning of a rebuild.

Agreed. The only thing that makes sense to me is if they knew Embiid is done.

I'm just trying to get my mind right for the Tre show so I watched when he beat up on my Cats. His offense has great upside but he might be the worst defensive player I've ever watched that is projected to go in the top 10. I don't care if he had a 7' wingspan and was 6'8, there's no amount of physical tools that can make up for defense like that. He cannot, under any circumstances, figure out how to get around a screen. If he gets put onto a big in the post, it's an insta-bucket. He's on rollerskates when facing a legitimate offensive player. It's really hard to wrap my head around how bad he is on that end.

Actually yes we are. Your boy Joshy is a cheap bastard, yet you won't admit it.

That's why it will be NO SURPRISE to see us make a cost-cutting move tonight!

If they need to salary match a lot of money, the only contract they have to do so is PG. Unless they really had the breakthrough moment and flipped Embiid.

Well, a Morey rebuild: be competitive for top free agents in the 2026 off season and hope the pick this year hits. Build around Maxey. Figure out what to do about Embiid later.
