You can't say we should not be excited about Simons because he's bad and expect to trade him for Bam Adebayo.

Dude if Simons gets traded soon the crash from you is going to be bad. You act like this guy is a 10 time all star and has better handles than Tatum. His wingspan sucks which hurts his defense. I dont know if you’re his cousin or not but stop

But a large expiring deal is still a large expiring deal. Depending on what they want to do with that it has value. So it does have value when wanting a quality player back much like a guy like Bam which the Heat might want to move off of. But like I said I don’t think it would happen. But that’s the move that’s logical, Simons and Hauser for a big.

So far I'm 1-0 because 24 hrs ago I said my money is on KP going so that the Cs will go under the apron.

Some of you guys didn't agree.

If Simons plays a game with the Celtics then that will make me 2-0.

It’s getting **** ridiculous.

Horford will play next season, but not in Boston. I'm thinking NY.

Exactly.

He’s not even guaranteed to be here and regardless I really don’t think he’s got much left.

He’s shown clear signs of decline the last two years (still a very good player to have).

The dude has been around forever.

Cannot believe people keep justifying the Celtics will be contenders in two seasons if their roster is similar to how it was in 2022 or 2023, because apparently Horford is still that good and will basically carry our front court with Tatum.

Ridiculous.

You're missing the forest for the trees. The point is that you can surround prime JT and JB, and Derek, with reasonably good players and be a contender. it's not that hard. It doesn't have to be Horford or Kornet or Hauser.

Fair point on the Bulls.

Come on, the 1992-93 Suns were the first 3pt shooting team.

That 93 Suns team were like the current Celtics with Mazzulla-Ball.

When is Brad going to add more shooters. Mazzula can barely break the 3 point volume record with the current roster.

Any word yet on the C's blockbuster trade for the day? Bets on whom it will feature?

They averaged 13.4 attempts per game. Only 15% of their shots were 3's. Hardly Mazzula-esque.

Tillman for Mark Williams

That should be a blockbuster.

The Celtics have been reported trying to get into the lottery

So what path gets them there?

Sam Hauser + picks? Probably not enough.

Anfernee Simons + picks? Maybe. But if the Blazers could've flipped him for a lottery pick, you'd think they would have — instead of trading him for Jrue Holiday.

Payton Pritchard? Possibly, but he’s on such a team-friendly deal it’s hard to imagine the Celtics moving him.

That leaves Derrick White and Jaylen Brown

Worse or more expensive players, really.

Seems they have to move one or both to get a big with KP gone and Big Al close to retirement.

But that was #1 in the league that season.

Suns attempted the most 3s that season.

Point is Reggie was at a disadvantage because of the lack of a 3pt shot.

He's comparable to DeRozan.

He’s wasted zero time.

Someone was going to use Brooklyn's cap space. Brad wanted to be first in line. It only made sense to move quickly before options started to be removed from the table.

How is Brad and the new loser owners going to sell this team next year to the fans?

I know a good amount of you are ra ra everything is amazing we have a **** green teamers but anyone who's realistically looking at it see this team as cutting 15 to 20 wins off last year total.

It boggles my mind that the bar is apparently the playoffs.

Way. Too. Low.

Stop engaging with the troll. He's posting like 10 to 1 vs anyone else, screaming at the sky and telling us he's 1 and 0 because he successfully predicted that KP was traded vs a guy who wasn't even on the roster 24 hours before that.

You're not seeing the big picture.

Just make the playoffs because if the Cs are in the playoffs, JT will return in March.

Celtics not winning 60 games if JT is out from October to February.

And if the Cs are not doing well and will most likely miss the playoffs, JT will not return.

I'd love to see us trade up into the lottery (although I know nothing about any of these players) but it seems a stretch given what we're willing to surrender.

I made my position abundantly clear and come next year I'll either have massive, can't show my face around here egg on my face or a bunch of you are going to be indebted to me forever.

Return to Boston Celtics
