Unless it's an injury requiring surgery, he needs to figure out how to play through it. The bizarre virus was the last straw for ownership/management.

What's he blaming himself for exactly, being wildly rich and a globally recognized athlete? He got his ring, it's house money from here, and lots of it.

Right now it's also June 25th.

We're 3+ months out from fielding a preseason team, judging Stevens' moves while we're in the midst of them is a fool's errand.

It's a shame he got hurt. He was the key to making the team such a dominant powerhouse that they had to keep it together no matter the cost. Going to be an all time Celtics what-if.

Honestly, the title last year was kind of underwhelming in terms of signature moments. Jrue's steal to end IND game 3, Porzingis' game 1 explosion, Tillman's 3 in game 3 vs. DAL, Brown's jumped to fully seal game 3 and Pritchard's heave are really the only memorable individual plays/moments. Sucks to see two of the players responsibly already gone. Kind of like 3 are gone with Tillman being a non factor now looking toast with that knee.

Super classy. Thank you, KP! I believe he would've given Boston a discount in his next contract if he stayed. KP loved being a Celtic and Boston loved him. His game 1 finals performance will always be memorable. I understand why he had to be moved. It just sucks that we didn't get anything substantial back. I think Atlanta is a good fit for him. Now watch as he plays 70+ games for them and be as healthy as he's ever been :banghead:

KP is on an expiring contract. I have to find out what the hurry was with this trade It is possible this could really end up badly for the Celtics. We could find out as early as today. But something in this trade has to open access they didn't formerly have to land a big man or Giannis. There has to be more than meets the eye.

Everyone has mentioned it, but I have to say it too: Game 1 of the Finals will never be forgotten. KP singlehandedly crushed a super-confident Mavs team and set the tone for the entire finals. He joins a very small list of Boston athletes who were only here for a very short time, but will always be remembered, like Dave Roberts and Corey Dillon.

Besides that, you can't overstate just how much pure fun this team was to watch when he was healthy, how utterly invincible he made us on offense.

Porzingis may be injury prone, but this is clearly a loss from a basketball perspective.

Next year: No Tatum, Porzingis, or Holiday.

But it's not going to be a bad team. They should still make the playoffs and be competitive on most nights. This is Brown's Scottie Pippin moment.
