If he's not going to shoot the three on volume and at a decent percentage, you have to move him. He breaks the entire structure of the offense if he doesn't want to shoot, and his defense isn't good enough to make up for it. The teams that have won the finals the last 10 years, all of them have perimeter players that will shoot when open.

A legitimate question but if hypothetically you get Giannis its worth the slight gamble of playing the best of Huk, Nanji, and possibly our pick #50 (rumor is we will move up to for a specific target)

Knicks could be trying to maximize Josh's value and trade him for two quality role players, or for a player who is not afraid to shoot the ball.

Here are different packages that work. I AM NOT SAYING ANY OF THEM ARE GOOD. Just saying that they worked on the spotrac trade machine and I tried to pick ones that might make sense, even ones we would not like.

Chicago
Lonzo Ball and Jalen Smith

Memphis
Brandon Clarke and John Konchar (maybe Jay Huff as well if the Knicks add one more player)

Utah
Collin Sexton or Jordan Clarkson

Dallas
PJ Washington or Caleb Martin and Naji Marshall

Does this guy have sources? How real is it?

Hart becomes too redundant to Giannis if we pull it off (or if that is the strategy we are aiming towards).

In fact if you can, trading our lower percentage 3 ball guys is the best strategy (trade Mikal over OG, Hart and then Mitch).

Example Rotation (minutes):

C KAT(18)/ Giannis (15)/ Huk and Nanji and Draft pick combined (15)
PF Giannis (18)/KAT(15)/OG(15)
SF OG(18)/MLE(12)/Shamet(10)/McCullar(8)
SG McBride(26)/ MLE (12)/ Shamet (10)
PG Brunson (35)/ Wright(8)/Holiday (5)

Just watch....

Giannis is going to come available.

And you don't turn down that opportunity to go after him.

For PERSPECTIVE from Windhorst.....

"Let's talk some facts before we get into anything else," said Brian Windhorst on Tuesday's First Take. "The Bucks have seven free agents. Seven. Three or four of which I would refer to as core players. The Bucks do not have salary cap space. The Bucks do not control their first round draft pick for the next five years. They can't trade it. They can't trade the pick or the swap.

"The Bucks are in situation where they cannot count on Dame Lillard for next year. Maybe he can come back, but they cannot count on it. The Bucks are not interested right now in trading Giannis Antetokounmpo. And Giannis, to our knowledge, to my belief, has not asked for a trade. Those are the facts.

"Now, we are also before the draft. We are before free agency. Will the Bucks do some things over the next two, three weeks to put themselves in a position where they can look like they could win the Eastern Conference with those limitations? Maybe. (More like quite doubtful lol .....there isn't some magic potion to entirely circumvent their dire reality here)

"So, that's why the league is waiting. People want to know why aren't the Knicks going all in for Kevin Durant? Why aren't the Heat going all in for Kevin Durant? Because in part, there's other reasons, but in part they want to see what happens here with the Bucks. And we're going to be watching closely."

Giannis is going to be coming available.....just watch and see....its very likely one of the big reasons why we are trying so hard for Kidd right now.

Yeah. Somehow we get Giannis and Kidd and I ask you about Knicks trades from now on. Leon Rose burner account confirmed!

Only reason why I think they may consider it is because Reid is gonna be a FA, but then again so is Bridges. Maybe they'd like him more long term and could use him more than Reid because they have Gobert? Yeah, could just be wishful thinking.

Mikal Bridges is eligible to sign an extension with the Knicks up to four years and $156M. Will he get extended?

"The one thing this front office has shown - if they don't want to extend you, they're not letting you get to free agency and walk. They're going to find a way to get what they can for you. They did it with Immanuel Quickley, Julius Randle, Obi Toppin.

I've felt all along that maybe that was going to be the case with Bridges this summer. The price they paid for him...I'm a believer in that sunk cost theory of economics - don't worry about what you paid for him. If he's not part of your future, make the move and get what you can.

A new coach coming in and some of the things he did in the postseason maybe portends that the future will be better for him than much of the regular season was. That's worth watching." - @StevePopper

I’ll really miss his 8 mid range fadeaway jumpers and zero FTs per game

It’s over. Collectively they are disliked by 100% of the fan base. Magic is gone, start the rebuild

Agreed; 8/9 man rotation:

Starters
Brunson
DDV
OG
KAT
Mitch

Bench
Deuce
Hart
Reid

Kolek
Shamet
Hukporti

DDV (catch & shoot) has proven he can play & be successful playing along side ball dominant Brunson. Mikal needs the ball in his hands more. If we keep him, I hope our next coach realizes that & allows him to play more with the ball.

With all these injuries in the East….I believe continuity is our best asset….no more trades
