Wow pretty good deal for the Rockets - annual salary is right about where I thought it should be (but granted I am usually way low on my estimates). I thought it would be more like 4 yrs $100M.

I don't know? LA was hoping he'd be their long-term starter and felt that he wasn't that at $31m, and $17.3m, respectively. But Dallas would just need him to help steady the position for up to 1 season (likely a little less)? And at less than $6m? Just feels like the stakes are different and the much cheaper salary and limited options makes him MUCH more palatable?
