You can use the TPE to acquire someone in a sign and trade. The Hawks would send draft assets back instead of a player.

Not a bad look. T Wolves are so far over the cap, they probably take any draft assets they can get in that deal.

Very unlikely with Giddey. They can use the TPE, but the Bulls would have to agree to S&T Giddey for $25 mill. They'd easily pay that to keep him. Plus they have Trae Young.

Spurs should knock on Kings’ door again.

Vassell/Sochan/#14/TPE for Sabonis

Spurs become the 2023 playoff Kings, with the addition of Wemby, Harper and Castle.

I think we are going to see the Celtics trade Brown and get KJ with their pick.

Probably the Raps.

I know there's a lot of hype, but IMO, BOS decided to just hibernate their big 3(Tatum, Brown and White) until Tatum returns, but get rid of enough salary so that they can build around them after this season. There's no good reason to dismantle that core who are all in their prime and under contract.

How does Boston keep getting these great deals?? Anfernee Simons and 2 seconds for Jrue Holiday? And the deal saves them $40 mill in luxury tax payments next year. Combined with the Porzingas trade, they've saved a ton of money. They'll listen to offers on Brown, but they'd have to be blown away, imo.

Portland must be planning to try to win now. Deal doesn't make sense from Portland side unless they plan to go hard next year. They need to get their pick from us so they can make moves. Come on AK!

Hawks got Porzingas, where does that leave Capela as a free agent? Going to be a rough summer for a lot of guys, lol!

Why do you want to get stuck with a crappy contract with a player that is always hurt.

Colin Murray-Boyle is easy to fall in love with for our slot. High defensive IQ and that dude can SWITCH. I'd be happy with him as we haven't seen a good Defensive Bulls team in over a decade, team stats be damned.

That's good and I'm not all for adding picks this year. Mostly this shifts the Bulls' guard glut, they can keep Ayo, maybe give him a new contract, they should hang onto Lonzo start him next to Giddey, Huerter coming off the bench, room for Jones.

Isaac can start across from Matas with Patrick and Phillips behind them. Big bonus id Isaac stays healthy.

Opens up the options of who they can accept back from a Vuc trade as well as the #12 pick. #25 could be a project C or another position

One story has OKC wanting to move UP from #15 and #24 to ??? 6-10 ???

How about after they talk to a 6-10 team They send the Bulls #24 and one of their 2026 picks, they moved theirs and have 3 protected coming in. Then they send #12 and #15 to a rebuilding team to get in that 6-10 range.

The Bulls drop down in this draft and get a kid who learns this year then a year from now they have their own pick, a pick from OKC and maybe the PORT pick when they have roster space from their crowd of expired contracts

No thanks! That would be like extending Vuc, I'd hate to do that. I don't want another high salary big that's a defensive problem. Just get one of the bigs in the draft instead.

His plan B is to take a 1 year MLE ($14M) from any team that's under tax, throw up big #s like he did with Chicago, and hit FA next season for $35M+ long term. If he averaged his post ASG Bulls #s, 21 / 11 / 9 with 45% 3P shooting, all season for another team that's a max contract as a UFA. TBH even if he averaged a lot less like Scottie Barnes, Barnes was still a max contract. But let's say he doesn't get close to max but still gets $35M per year.

MLE: $14M
2026 free agency: $35M x 4 = 140
The MLE + $35M contract AAV package = $31M AAV.

Brandon Ingram, 22 / 5 / 5 and was so injured he could only play 18 games, got $40M AAV. Giddey can get $35M even doing much worse than he did in Chicago.

If he wanted to bet on himself like all NBA players do, he could refuse anything under $30M and still most likely come out ahead. $30M is just a few million more than what Miles Bridges makes.

I don't think it will come to this, last we heard Giddey was willing to sign in Chicago for $24M, although I'm not sure if that's changed given how incredible his end of season production was.

I'm not 100% on this in the new CBA, but I don't think players can sign one year deals with other teams if they are restricted FA's. I think a minimum offer for an RFA is a 3 year deal (although only the first year has to be guaranteed). He could sign an offer with only the first year guaranteed, but we could match it.

Per KC….no chatter yet of Coby being shopped this offseason

Only way Kuminga comes here is if GS is willing to take back Vuc or PWill, and their Vuc interest has cooled

In summary, another summer of CONTINUITY

Being stuck with Vuc is no surprise. Nobody wants him and why should they ? The real problem is, Billy will still continue to start him, just because.

Beal trade (ducks head)

Suns trade Beal, #10, #29 and their 2026 1st, top 4 protected (almost zero chance Suns have a top 4 pick because of swap rights with Washington)

Bulls trade Vuc, Patrick Williams, Dalen Terry and #12 pick

Bulls do this to get what could be a lottery pick in next year's draft, move up 2 spots and get another 1st while getting out of PWill's contract.

Suns get under the apron, get a center they need, and take a flyer on two young forwards while keeping a lottery pick for this year.

Bulls

Giddey / Ball
Coby / Ayo
Beal / Huerter
Matas / Phillips
Collins/ Smith

Plus #10, #29, #45 and an extra pick in 2026.

I don’t agree with this. Vuc isnt going to command a huge return but hes a dependable frontcourt scoring option coming off a 53/40/80 shooting season…frankly surprised a contender with a need at C wouldnt take a flyer on him as an expiring. No need to commit long term money. He would be a great fit on GS where strong wing defenders like Draymond/Jimmy can help with his defensive issues.

Trade market really starts after the draft for the mid-range players. Any trade that won't pull a current draft pick can wait. Some teams who might want Vuc will get their guy in the draft, some won't. Watching Porzingas and Jrue get traded, little doubt Vuc can be moved. Better players, but his contract is way better.
