According to that agent, don’t be surprised if Brooklyn makes a hard push to get into the 3rd spot to land Bailey, who’s been at the center of a growing swirl of pre-draft intrigue. Bailey, of course, has dominated pre-draft headlines after opting out of his scheduled workout with Philadelphia, who owns the No. 3 pick, and going completely radio silent on public workouts.

But here’s what I’ve heard: Bailey has completed at least one private workout with a team he’s zeroed in on. Which team? That part’s still murky. Nobody’s confirming. But let’s just say, some believe Bailey could be hoping to find his shooting rhythm in a city known for jazz.

But it’s not just Brooklyn. New Orleans has been linked to Bailey—the interest was first reported by Kevin O’Connor weeks ago—and it’s only intensified. I’ve been told the Pelicans are very, very serious about trying to move up and make Bailey their guy.

The recent acquisition of the 23rd pick? Sources say that’s part of a larger trade package they’re preparing, potentially aimed at Philadelphia or another team ahead of them on the board.

There’s also been buzz around other teams looking to leapfrog into the top three to ensure they’re in position for Bailey.

We know they're all opting in. Trades can be made assuming that and if they don't, even better for the receiving team.

I just see another bidder in Washington. Give Darryl all the picks. I'm reminiscing over the Hinkie day of hoarding 2nd rounders.

Attitude isn't the issue with Ace, it's his inability to get by defenders. That's a very important trait that he lacks. And very few players become stars in the NBA without that skill. Hard to make a living having to shoot over guys all the time.

Y'all see that George + #3 to Atlanta rumor from Adam Beverley?

Would you do #3/George for #13/Johnson/Risacher?

I would personally drive from Philly to New York, pay the congestion tax, to make sure that trade was validated.

Steph told Warriors not to draft him.

Kobe told Nets not to draft him.

I wonder how those situations turned out...

Kobe said he would only play for the Lakers, which quotes from Tellem later confirmed. I think there were a few poorly run organizations that Kobe would have simply played in Europe for a year and reentered the draft. However, he wasn’t going to do that multiple years in a row so most teams would have been wise to call his bluff. However, I think he was a case were some organizations ran the risk of him pulling a JD Drew.

Do these rumour aggregators get fined if they don't put the EYES EMOJI on a tweet?

I'd never seen him before, looks like it was deleted. But basically it was George/#3 to Atlanta talks.

My bad yall.

Does a player have to exercise the option in order for the trade to occur? Or are they considered a pending free-agent until the option is exercised?

Going into the draft I see Sixers needing more role player then actual stars. Maxey, McCain, I think can handle being the stars. They can get off there own shot and can create by penetrating the defense. I think you need athletic players that can spot up and slash the lanes.

I am really torn on who I would the Sixers to draft. I keep leaning towards Ace but his interviews and how to handled the process scares me. He seems to care more about being a star over winning. If he would put the team first I think it would be a no brainer as I think he would great slasher and spot up shooting. When the shot clock is ticking down and get a decent shot off.

VJ I would really like on this team if he was 2” taller and could play the SF position. With his athletic ability he might get away with it with his motor. Has the right attitude.

I think Tre would be good if we didn’t have McCain. TRE can shoot but need better defense and he can improve but won’t be elite and doesn’t appear to be a slasher

Kon concerns me with being picked on in the playoffs and I think athletically he will struggle some. Good spot up shooter and is crafty but that is what McCain is.

I think Sixers should take Ace. Need to explain that he can develop into star but needs to worry about helping team. His size weak side D is needed on this team.

If you trade down I would like to see this trade.
Sixers trade #3 pick, Paul George to New Orleans for the #7 pick, Zion, Herb Jones then select one of Kon, Tre.
This gets you off George contract. Zion isn’t guaranteed contract. Can play PF. And then still get help at SF or SG.
