Not really surprised. Tell me what you are seeing and why!

waste of time. it's not as if i'm going to convert/convince you.

Not true. I think Saraf is way underrated and KJ is limited athletically.

Read on Twitter

he really doesn't look 6'6" to me but apparently he is. I don't know where he lands for me yet but the size doesn't hurt. Tiny hands though

He’s going to be listed as a 6’7 point guard/wing. I’m definitely still on the bus.

There's something people miss - Saraf is barely 19 y/old and high level pro-team is heavily dependent on him. Even in previous game which was really really bad one - Ulm's coach still sent him back to court with 4 PF 3 min to the end of the game... And he took two shots in last minute and half, and missed both, so we can say "here he failed" but maybe more important is that he was confident to take those shots, and his coach was confident in him to give ball in his hands in decisive moments (and the team led in this way by Saraf finished 2nd in G-BBL and reached final)

Here's by the way final series poster on G-BBL site:

p.s
Maybe it's a bit disappointing that Saraf (and Essengue) will not be available for work-outs... but they are going into series against above average EuroLeague team, maybe it will give even more clues.

Saraf helped big time by those measurements.

He’s got be in that 12-20 range now.

After watching Saraf in these playoffs, I feel as though his true weakness is finishing going right. Many lefties finished with their left going right, but Saraf's finishes look awkward and he tends to go into this two footed semi floater.

Anyway, that can be fixed. His decision making is awesome and I low how he reads and controls the game.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

true, but it's one game. everybody has bad games. the question is, was it a one game thing or is it the competition/stage.

this series will be interesting to follow.

Watched him a bit today. He’s a sieve on d. His offense is ok for EL but hard to see him as a lead guard in the NBA. On the plus side he looks similar sized to Jessup who is fairly big.

Ben Saraf in 31 minutes vs Bayern Munich in Ratiopharm Ulm's 81-79 win: 20 PTS (9/15 FG, 1/3 3PT), 4 REB, 4 AST, 2 TO, 2 STL, +7 +/-, 0 fouls
Ulm leads in German BBL finals 2:1

Sure I'm biased... but I just can't understand any team with pick after #15 which will pass on Saraf.

Here's great run in playoffs which somehow only harmed Saraf's chances in draft

12.6 ppg (43.8 / 29.2 / 85 split), 3.8 rbspg, 3.9 astpg / 2.9 tovpg , +/- +6.1, 8W/3L - one win from German league championships right now

I'm really impressed by Saraf. At his size, if his offensive game pans out, he is going to be a great NBA player.

I mean isn't that true for anyone his size? Isn't it true for, say, Hugo Gonzalez who is even bigger and more athletic?

Hugo is far less skilled and his range of outcomes is far lower.

It wouldn't shock me if Saraf is a Top 5-6 player in this draft. It would shock me if Hugo were.

You said "if his offensive game pans out". Well if Hugo's "offensive game pans out" then that means he developed a bunch of skills too. So next time maybe be more clear about what you are actually trying to say. Did you just mean "if Saraf learns how to shoot"? I gather that's what you meant. Would have been easier just to say it explicitly.

FWIW guys like Saraf are overrated on this board and elsewhere in every Draft. They rarely actually pan out. Who are those guys? Give me some unathletic euro guards that can't shoot that are now top 5-6 in their draft class...

High level Europe and Euroleague is very similar to the NBA at this point. The gap between the teams is due to superstar NBA players, and not role players and low end starters necessarily. Ie Saraf starting in Europe this young portends a bright future at the highest level, whether your concern is point guard defense (the least important) or not.
