Boston will want how much more for White?

I was big on the Quickley train before the Dillingham trade. I think they are a very similar archetype. That could either take him off the board because they have their guy for that role or he could be intriguing if that's what they just want their PGs to look like.

He was a guy I wanted in a potential KAT trade before he went to Toronto.

He's a full-sized PG (6'2.00" barefoot, with a 6'8.25" wingspan and a 190 lbs weight), very good shooter, doesn't turn it over much and his teams are always better defensively with him on the floor.

32.5M flat, each of the next 4 years isn't onerous. Seems like it would have to be a Randle trade to get him.

Quickley is real nice, but I think DDV has his role and then also injury history is worrisome. EPM has him as a top 55 player this past season.

Word is that the Hawks, at roughly $30 million below the luxury-tax line, are expected to register interest in a sign-and-trade deal with Minnesota to try to acquire Nickeil Alexander-Walker — among various options that Atlanta is exploring with its trade and financial flexibility — in the event that the Timberwolves, in their quests to re-sign Julius Randle and Naz Reid, run out of the flexibility needed to re-sign Alexander-Walker.

-Mark Stein

i suggested in the draft thread possibly ATL drafts who Wolves want at #13, Wolves draft who ATL wants at #17
to be swapped as part of NAW deal, even if indirectly

That's absurdly illegal. We'd be starting off the Lore-Rodriguez era with another Joe Smith fiasco

Yeah, not a bad player but also don't want him at that price.

I really hope DDV doesn’t have a PG role.

I forgot about this connection:

“[Collin Sexton] truthfully is just a gym rat… I think that’s why it was such a seamless transition for him to come back. He didn’t skip a beat. He’s been ready and excited for the chance to play.” – Mike on the Young Bull's return

I am ready to move on from DDV, his playoff run was a disgrace and Clark and TJ can easily do better if given the chance. Connelly need to squeeze any value he can from DDV’s bargain contract right now while he still has multiple seasons on it!

 the Pelicans will be in win now mode after the stupidity of trading away an unprotected 2026 pick to move up ten spots for Derik Queen.

Time to take advantage of this.. Randle spot?

I posted a thread on the Trade Board, looking for offers for the #31. I’m on the road, but somebody bring over any offers you find interesting.

It is plain and simple: Fleming for top-10 protected 2027 pick

Sacramento poster offering 2026 Sac and Charlotte 2nds, with cash.

Bulls poster offering the Portland 1st - lotto protected for 3 years then turns into 2nds

Detroit poster offering 37 and would probably throw in 2 future 2nds.

Read on Twitter

BRO IN: Rozier, Miller, MIA top-10 protected 2028 pick
BRO OUT: Cameron Johnson

Why for BRO: get a FRP and Miller

MIA IN: Randle
MIA OUT: Rozier, MIA top-10 protected 2028 pick

Why for MIA: add starting PF

MIN IN: Johnson
MIN OUT: Randle, Miller

Why for MIN: get long-term solution at C, replace DDV with comparable shooter, but at SF/PF position, get additional pick. Stay in win-now mode

Re-sign both Reid, trade NAW for two 2nd. Draft Fleming at 31

Gobert/Reid/Beringer
Reid/Johnson/Fleming
McDaniels/TJ/Minott
Edwards/Clark/NAW
DDV/Rob/Conley

I don’t want Naz starting because his defense can’t be trusted. I’d rather use Randle/Miller/seconds or whatever to take a chance on Zion over someone mid like Cam Johnson. Even though it’s a huge gamble the Zion/Ant combo could be deadly in playoffs. We don’t know what Zion can do in the playoffs yet because he has never played in them :o, he needs out of the Pelicans organization badly!

I have little worry about Naz starting next to Rudy. Last season in a little under a 1000 minutes, the Naz/Rudy pairing had a defensive rating of 101.6 which is elite level defense. Looking at all 2 man pairings across the whole NBA who played over 500 minutes together last season Naz/Rudy were 7th in defensive rating.
