The trade values on Austin Reaves are wild. Here one year of him is worth Jaylen Brown, we have another poster who insists the Lakers would have to pay to move his salary.

Not sure why we think a good player sucks but also don't understand why we think one year of him returns a player of Brown's caliber either.

Anyone who thinks the Lakers would have to pay to move Austin Reaves is just hater. He actually has one of the best non-rookie value contracts in the league. Now of course he will be due a big raise after next year which does diminish his value on the trade market somewhat, but he is still pretty valuable.

Jaylen Brown is a really good player, but dude is overpaid - 4 years $236M. I think it will take the right team to be willing to give a lot of value for him. That team is not the Lakers.

Well, and the small size of Reaves’s contract essentially guarantees he hits unrestricted free agency and likely won’t be extended.
