This is when guys are compared to Embiid but are actually Mo Bamba.
Don't fall for the stupid comps.

I think we'd be a very good regular season team that just can't score in the playoffs.
Poeltl-ScottieBarnes-Ingram-DerrickWhite-Quickley should be a smart, unselfish and just really solid starting 5, but there's nobody who demands a double team and we'd be living and dying with Ingram mid-range 2s against some teams' best perimeter defender. And Quickley and Poeltl just targetable enough to juice other team's offences slightly.
Very much a DeMar era Raptors situation, come to think of it.
If this team can go from tanking in back to back years to the Demar era Raptors where we win 50+ and a round or 2 then EVERYONE should be signing up for that RIGHT NOW.
This idea of people thinking we are going to turn into immediate championship threats is ridiculous. Let's get better and then hope Masai can keep improving once we up our baseline...
The talent level is more spread around, even in the weak East. Look at the Heat and Pacers teams we beat in 2016. Those were not good teams.
But if the Celtics made that deal with us, I do think we could win 45 games and with Tatum and Haliburton out next year, we could win a round, feels like a toss up against anyone but the Cavs or Knicks. So sort of like a Pistons last year kind of season but with a team of guys in their mid to late 20s (White slightly older, Barnes slightly younger) and a very young bench.
White was on the Olympic team and he'd instantly give us a very solid 2-way guard who fits perfectly and improves our passing (needed with no true #1 QB type on O) and defence. That would be a difference maker. Does moving the #9 pick for him make sense? Would the Celtics do it? Those are different questions. But White is a winner. He and Poeltl had the Spurs as a West play-in type team before he left (41-41 expected wins/losses) with DeJounte Murray, Keldon Johnson and Vassell as their other 3 starters. Barnes, Ingram and Quickley is definitely a stronger trio as long as they stay fairly healthy, so say a low to mid 40s team in the West and a 45-48 win team in the East would be my guess, and when/if Ingram misses time drop that by a few games.
Where's the D?

Guaranteed to happen either after their first 0-5 game or when they don't make the rotation immediately out of training camp.

Super likeable kid. May not have the highest upside, but I’d be shocked if he didn’t turn out to be a quality starter down the line
