Is it draft night yet? Hard to tell.

Re: Draft Day Shenanigans (IV)
Hearing that Ace wanted 5am workouts is a huge boost up the board to me. The way he has handled this draft makes him look like a 6-year old. He can be an immature, fame-grubbing kid all he wants off the court as long as he works hard enough on the court to maximize his potential.
Not that boosts him all the way up to #3. Maybe. But it takes him from a DoNotWant to at least even with the rest of the crowd under serious consideration as the #3 draft pick.

His skillset and feel remind me of a guy who hits the gym at 5 a.m. and is done by 5:30

I find Givony tries too hard to please everyone. I wish there were more draft analysts who had the guts to call out a prospect when they’re just not good. Or maybe watching too much film makes you biased.

It doesn’t change much for me. I would be fine taking him either way. I don’t think he has a good agent and is getting bad advice. He reportedly just said he doesn’t have a preference who picks him. He is getting pushed through this process, and if he trusts his agent, then of course he is going with it.
I think if they think he is the BPA, they should take him. The fans will ultimately be fine. And I think we all know, if he is top of our draft board, Morey will take him. I just get the sense that they don’t really want him, but want his name in the mix to keep the value of the pick as high as possible. The more realistic names in play at 3, the more people could feel a need to move up.

Half of these workout stories are exaggerated, especially from guys who don’t even show high-level skill or feel on the court.

All we hear is nonstop propaganda about how "VJ is a hard worker", meanwhile his offensive skills are rudimentary at best and he's more than a year older than Ace and some other top freshman.
So if he's been working so damn hard, why can't he handle, dribble, create shots and finish?
