He's so bad. The fact that anyone would mock us taking this kid after the whole Wiseman thing and while trying to compete...it's absolutely clueless scouting. God and I even forgot about the previous crush they had before Wiseman that failed so miserably. Literally, his name escapes me now and I'm not going to wasted time looking that **** up.   :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Are you talking about smailgic?

Bru why did you have to make me remember

Because that was hilarious. They traded like 3 2nds to draft him and he tried to dunk from inside the ft line and everyone burst out laughing.

That's what happens when the owner's son is allowed to roam the planet looking for talent that he and only he falls in love with that hasn't reached draft age yet. The team broadcasts to the world that they've fallen in love with a player that nobody else rates at all and then allow themselves to get bent over a barrel for the right to draft him. That has been the single most embarrassing debacle of the Lacob era so far. Worse than Wiseman as plenty of professional basketball pundits were fooled by Wiseman, not just Lacob.

Is this thread going to be used as the draft thread or is there going to be one made for it?

It's getting underway, Dallas is on the clock. Cooper Flagg, it will be.

You are now on the clock. You have 5 minutes to set up an Official 2025 NBA Draft Thread. :D

No surprises yet.

Maybe we will get some trades in the next couple of picks?

Igor Demin is a bit of a surprise. The nets have missed having a 6 ft 10 point guard since Ben Simmons left?

Hornets trading C Mark Williams to Phoenix for #29 and 2029 #1. First big draft night trade.

Yeah I don't recall what Dumars did in his first stint as a GM but that's a baffling trade, he gives up two FRPs for the #13 pick in this draft?

They got to try to poach good players there like Herb Jones or Murphy.

They also let players like Daniels and NAW slip away to other teams.

So a 15-17 Rutgers team has two of the top five picks?

Man I would try to move up and take Asa Newell here. It's crazy he slid this far. I had Asa 6 on my board.
