I'm vibing they're going to pick Beringer. Pretty meh for me. Beringer's upside to me is Gafford. Even if you got Gafford I wouldn't be over the moon with that at 12, but if you don't? Best I can say is his athleticism and burst make it unlikely he'll be a total bust - he can probably carve out a role as a 10-15 MPG backup center based on blocks and being a lob target.

I see a lot more Lively than Gafford in Beringer. 7’0 with a 7’4 wingspan, great athleticism, rim protector and lob threat type. Similar body. He’ll be a project, but the upside is immense. Just started playing basketball 4 years ago, he was focused on soccer prior to that (similar to Joel Embiid….)

The Spurs have agreed to trade the No. 38 overall pick in this year’s draft to the Pacers in exchange for a future second-round pick and cash, reports Shams Charania of ESPN (Twitter link).

Odd trade. I guess the Pacers are looking at someone in the 2nd round. They did a good job finding Nembhard a few years ago.

However, at a certain point in round 2 players don't even make it in the NBA.

Zach Lowe said ESPN producers would call him up and ask him if he agreed with a take. He said if he agreed the first thing they'd say is "Can you come say that on camera?" and he usually said no.

Perkins never says no.
