And, of course, Ace at 5. FML.

I think we're going to regret not taking Ace in the years to come...

We are gonna look back on this draft with utter disappointment

I knew once the obvious option (VJ) was gone our front office would be scared of taking the upside guy

I'm ready to call it on the Melo era at this point. This FO are clearly a bunch of ostriches. Making the Cho era look like a dynasty so far.
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

Only Charlotte could draft in the top 5 and somehow EXTEND their timeline

Weirdly it’s mainly on this forum that thinks this. Not saying it’s right or wrong, but nearly everyone thinks this was a good pick

Kon is solid and is about as good as I could hope for us in the draft. Ace is a good prospect but I don't trust our organization to develop him. Kon is at least a Shooting guard version of doug mcdermott who can knock down an open shot and make smart passes but he's gonna get COOKED versus any decent guard on defense.

I just don't think you can take a guy with zero explosiveness or athleticism in the top 5 of an NBA draft. I'm stunned

Why not just trade for a Bogdanovic or something instead of doing this

He's a hard worker. He grinds. He has that mentality we look for. He's going to help the culture.

Melos face when Tiddy and Kon check into the game: :nonono:

All this draft talk just to end up with the guy most didn't want is the true life of a Hornets fan.

I guess we should have took the Knecht trade as a real sign. They want 3pt shooters and good luck getting any defense out of LaMelo/Kon backcourt lol

All the Buzz Beat guys are supporting this and have wanted this for weeks. Kon was beloved by most scouts/analytics people. I’ve no clue if it will work out, but this is not a Zeller/Kaminsky situation

That's because we are a basketcase so casual NBA fans think the safe pick is what we need as we are so **** lol.

I don't like Ace or Tre but they both obviously should have went before Kon.
