It's like they hate having picks and they need to give them away. FFS

Williams isn’t worth two picks

Dipshitbia is so stupid

They are two poor firsts though. 2029 pick is one of the super protected ones

And Mark Williams is a legit starting 5

Is there protection in that 2029 first rounder??
Or is that already a late pick via Wizards, Rockets, Nets?

It would be exciting to keep this guy, but I won't be surprised if he goes to Washington.

Maluach fills a clear need that many teams are looking for: He's a true center who can serve as a defensive anchor in the paint and has significant potential for growth physically and skillwise. He plays with tremendous intensity and is beloved by coaches and teammates because of his off-court intangibles.

His ability to protect the rim, cover ground in a variety of pick-and-roll schemes, and provide vertical spacing as a roller and cutter while sprinting aggressively in transition will appeal to any team seeking a center to build around in the long term.

There has also been persistent rumblings around Derik Queen in the past 24 hours, with teams pointing to long-standing connections between senior vice president of basketball operations Troy Weaver to Baltimore and Washington, D.C. prospects historically, as well as the fact that his son, Thomas, was a Graduate Assistant on Maryland's coaching staff this past season.

Exactly, this is basically two very late first rounders. Mark Williams is absolutely legit, apparently there are questions about his durability but at this price it's a great move.

So we are trading 29 AND a future first for Mark Williams? The fact that we are doing that and keeping Richards doesn't leave me feeling too good about us keeping Maluach.

Mark Williams has never played more than 45 games in a season.

We seriously needed size and got that with Williams and Maluach. Williams can play now and Maluach can figure it out in the next couple seasons.

Maluach seemed like a good kid from his interview. Didn't see him play outside those highlights, but rim protection and pick and roll alley-oop target sounds aight to me.

Oh yeah, I forgot, everyone has to agree with your opinions or go find a new team. Yeah sure dude. I’ll just find a new team since I’ve been a fan of this team since 93 because you are upset that people are not happy with the current state of this team.
