Noa with very big bust potential IMO, not high on him at all. I don't see his game translating.

Hawk made a trade with New Orleans. Pelicans get Queen.

it's really nice of new orleans to remind us our awful gm situation could be even worse

Eh, unlike Terry when drafted he's younger, has a much more fluid handle, and importantly is just bigger and can impact the game on both ends potentially. Terry was always a silly pick because he needed to improve his handle into above average for an NBA guard to every be anything valuable.

This kid has tools physically Terry does not and is starting from a higher floor as well imo.

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.

I guess on the bright side is that Noa was regularly mocked in the top 10.

I agree. What are the details of the trade?

Great pick, imo. Could end up best defensive player in the draft. Building around Giddey and Matas, Noa is way more useful than KJ. Coby stays, even more so. Not like KJ's a lights out shooter, and we have two players already in Ball and Giddey that do what he does.

More risk than KJ, but higher upside and better fit.

Anyone who watches him and thinks bench player in the NBA with greater space, IMO has no basis to give any opinions on basketball. Boa, OTOH, is guaranteed to be a bench player for a while, and may well never be anything more.

If KJ is there at 16 maybe the Bulls can trade back into the draft (using the Portland pick and something...?)?

Would have rather the Bulls do the deal the Hawks did than take Essengue.

I will never be mad at taking a HR swing at late lotto for a (potential) defensive monster. Let this kid get some weight on him and see what happens. We need defense all over on this roster.

Noa is huge project and that is what worries me, because we have NOT been good at developing projects, Phillips, Terry, Williams, Hutchinson, Snell, Valentine, all have one thing in common project guys that failed miserably.

I'm fine with the pick overall, disappointed but fine...just dont want history repeating itself yet again, only time will tell
