My guess is that any interest was just us doing our due diligence when we weren't sure if Giannis was going to ask out. It would be negligent not to kick tires of Top 10 picks knowing that at any minute Giannis could change his mind and ask out*.

*I'm in the camp where I could totally see him asking out at the deadline if we strike out on building a roster and floating around .500.

i dont see giannis bailing on a team mid season.

Ultimately it all hinges on whether or not Zion makes it through the year (and now, if they can defend with this weird assortment of players).

Really weird fit with Queen and Zion but if they're both starting, that's one of the most uniquely skilled PF/C combos in the league.
