I think he’s redundant now. We don’t need him.

tolzman hinted we were gonna get a big elsewhere.
Why is Bilas not on the show tonight. Steven A and Myers aren't up on the college kids
he's on the espn feed. that has andray carter, mallika, perk and jay bilas - infiniitely better than sas on abc.

He even cursed the pick out according to lip readers.
Seen on reddit:
My Mom is an expert lip reader for Toronto PD and she confirmed he shook his head and said '****, this some bull'. Then when he walked towards the stage he said 'snowy ass city'.

I was looking for you in the draft thread.

He could have said that for a number of other reasons like finally getting selected when he was expecting to go a bit higher, officially fulfilling a life-long dream of becoming an NBA player, etc. Judging a player off a one-second reaction seems dumb...

Some people be in denial, rewatch it, it’s clear as day, I see the same words being said.
Just accept it instead of claiming overreactions. I also believe he’ll likely change his mind by the time he joins the team.

Overall, it’s fine. He’s going to probably play next to Mogbo, not take minutes from him. He’s a good fit off our bench and will absolutely contribute this season - which shouldn’t necessarily be a surprise. He’s a very solid, fundamental player and he’ll be in the rotation, so you’re probably not waiting on development. It’s the rationale many of us were posting about why they wouldn’t go Essengue here, and I think it’s probably why they passed on Maluach (or they know something about him that isn’t publicly known).
I probably wouldn’t have gone in this direction, but he will likely pan out - they know what they’re doing. Having said that, he’s a PF. Our highest paid player is a 4, and they don’t really fit together because neither of them is a great shooter. So, on this team, he feels redundant. I get that at this spot you want a rotation player, and I think we got that, but I think his upside is capped (at least with us) because he probably isn’t starting for us anytime soon if ever. I don’t really love that at 9, but I think his floor is high enough that it’s fine.
You should always go BPA and I think that’s what they did, so I’m not mad about it.

I like him. He has elite defensive potential as a multi positional defender, he can handle the ball and act as a facilitator in the halfcourt, and he has a nice soft touch around the basket. The swing skill is the shot, if it comes around, his potential is pretty high given all his other skills.
Can't wait to see him in summer league.

In poker when you face amateurs they give away their card with their first reaction. First impression is everything regardless of context/motivation. If you shook your head and mouthed **** after almost anything whether you mean different or not most people would perceive it as negative.
It’s bad optics.
