Re: Draft Day Shenanigans (IV)
Eric Dixon's measurables, rebounding, and block numbers are very poor. We have multiple Gs at 6'3" and 6'4" who rebound better than him. He won't satisfy the need for a true PF. He's just a big body that can shoot. Niang.

Wingspan because prospects tank standing reach all the time.

His potential depends on his shooting, but he has nice mechanics, he's already a good spot up shooter and has good FT%, so it's likely he's going to be just fine.
Only big concern is his fit with the Maxey/McCain combo, but I'm ok with drafting BPA and figuring it out later. Also, multiple guards lineups are more and more common, even more when you have a 6'5 hyperathletic, defensive stud guard like VJ. If he ends up being an athletic Derrick White that's already a damn good player and crucial piece for a winning team.
He's also a down to earth, hard working kid, which it's a huge plus in my book. I'm glad we dodged the 6'10 Markelle Fultz/Ben Simmons son.
Maxey Grimes starting unit.
McCain Edgecombe bench unit.
If only we ran a fast pace offense lol. Deflections and transition should be emphasized as long as we can grab a rebound.

Hansen Yang is underrated. This guy is good.

Cooper Flagg growing out a wispy mustache and goatee is so funny to me. Looking like a textbook 18 year old that’s cosplaying as a full adult.

If we didn’t just draft VJ, I’d be dying for Jaku trade up right now.

Standing reach for contests and rim protection rebounding (hands in the air). Wingspan for perimeter defense and jumping lanes, steals. (Hands reaching)
Right, it really depends on how the player plays. L standing reach is essentially a combo of height and length... So if a guy uses and knows how to use verticality... Standing reach is important, but not everyone does. If a guy is athletic and jumps for everything or gambles for steals, high release point and rim finishing, overall defense, probably wingspan.

Re: Draft Day Shenanigans (IV)
I think I watched some Beringer (and Traore, Essengue) vs Jaku highlights in the U18 FIBA stuff. He looked athletic I guess.
