I have no idea what to say. Masai has a good track record so this guy won’t be a bust. Will he be a star? Was kind of hoping for a playmaking wing, but who knows. Maybe in a few years Scottie will be gone and this guy will be our star PF.

Great pick based on most nba ready, a closing lineup of of BI/Scottie/CMB will be defensive small ball hell imo

CMB was so obviously a Raptors pick we should have all expected this.

Vision 6'9ish back. Long versatile player who can't shoot. I thought we learned from this, but maybe seeing the Thunder success was enough to revive the dream.

Don't love the pick, felt we could have got him later, so trade down to someone who wanted Kaman would have made sense. That said, I don't think he would have been available outside of the lottery. Maybe a trade is still on the table...we'll see.

I've heard some say that if he can shoot the three he could be the best player in the draft...but that's a big if.

Didn't feel like a BPA pick, but hey, the folks making the pick know a helluva lot more than me.

Hope CMB turns out to be another player we look on in a couple of years as a 'steal'.

Not a chance he goes outside the lottery, that was never a thing

Scottie and CMB are going to be a pain in the ass to play against. He plays like a 6’7 long armed Kyle on defence. Super physical and heady

The raptors absolutely killed the draft last year you’d think that would buy some pause on the hot takes but everyone in here knows everything and just want to bit.ch for the sake of it.

All of u saying this is a bad pick screen shot my post… no one cares that much. just realize you arent the savant you think you are.

Anyone they drafted here was going to be a backup. And they probably weren’t going wing, given they have a glut of wings.

There was no PG here worth taking. So basically you either take a C who was a project or you take a forward who was BPA on the board and has playable skills. Pretty straightforward decision, they took BPA.

Just stop with your rational talk!

He has a 7'1 wingspan, an 8'10 standing reach and he's 240 lbs. He's going to be able to play some smallball C. He's a guy you can just throw out there, and he will figure it out on both ends because of his versatility.

I like betting on hard workers with high motors that make winning plays.

We will use CMB on the wings, he will playmake. Again no 1 on the board was gonna be an immediate starter, KM would've be our back-up till after Jak's next contract

I'm good with this pick, at least we didn't draft a C.

Just accept it instead of claiming overreactions. I also believe he’ll likely change his mind by the time he joins the team.

The good thing is when he visits in the next day or two to be introduced, one of the reporters will ask him what he thinks of the city so far.

Not sure I follow within the context of this draft pick. Doesn't this pick bolster the need for RJ on the roster?

So much time was wasted in the draft threads discussing a bunch of guys that I told you all ahead of time are not Masai-type FRPs.

Khaman Maluach, Carter Bryant, Cedric Coward, Rasheer Fleming, Danny Wolf, etc.

And the mere mention of CMB in the draft threads got weird amounts of backlash even though I've been saying since 2024 that he is a Masai-type FRP. Absolutely embarrassing stuff Raps RealGM. Have some shame.

Going forward, whoever my Barttorvik query says are Masai-type FRPs are the names to realistically discuss.
