OK, the more some of these best available names slide, the more of a believer that we can get one of them in 2nd i'll become. Doubt that it happens, but there are some decent names still available which is a surprise.

His potential depends on his shooting, but he has nice mechanics, he's already a good spot up shooter and has good FT%, so it's likely he's going to be just fine.
Only big concern is his fit with the Maxey/McCain combo, but I'm ok with drafting BPA and figuring it out later. Also, multiple guards lineups are more and more common, even more when you have a 6'5 hyperathletic, defensive stud guard like VJ. If he ends up being an athletic Derrick White that's already a damn good player and crucial piece for a winning team.
He's also a down to earth, hard working kid, which it's a huge plus in my book. I'm glad we dodged the 6'10 Markelle Fultz/Ben Simmons son.
Maxey Grimes starting unit.
McCain Edgecombe bench unit.
If only we ran a fast pace offense lol. Deflections and transition should be emphasized as long as we can grab a rebound.
Our team played better without Embiid during that stretch because we could play more up tempo…
If we’re a smaller team, we would benefit from a higher pace of play.

Re: Draft Day Shenanigans (IV)
Daryl Morey on where he believes VJ Edgecombe can grow: "being able to shoot off the move... I was speaking with Eric Gordon, who took this leap. He came in the league athletic, wasn't a good finisher. VJ isn't quite there yet, and recognizes it... But he has, like that, base athleticism, physical tools, and the work ethic that you see he could grow into all these things."
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Trading up or somehow getting Fleming would be a great night cap for us.
7'5"+ wingspan. Can rebound, block shots, is a young junior, and can flatout bomb from three. He'd be a phenomenal stretch 5 and can be a fascinating fit at PF next to Embiid for stretches. Their combined length would be scary fun to watch. Lane would be closed completely.

So when they said they're would be trades it would be at the back half of the draft and not involve us at all. Of course lol.

We should absolutely be thinking Rasheer Flemming right now. My guess is we're done for the evening, but he is falling in the draft. Liam McNeely is another one...Like if he's there with our 2nd...We have to take him.

Yeah, I'm definitely feeling the love right now. Got those Andre 3000 vibes but don't confuse him with Iguodala.

If Asa Newell is there at 25, I could be worth trading up from the 2nd

They have the most assets yet somehow feel like they’ve drafted the worst.

VJ won me over with the energy and he’s one of ours. Let’s go Bahamas Dipo on the way.
