Mogbo probably won't work out in the long run.
It's possible he won't, but CMB isn't positioned to do much better.UnbelievablyRAW wrote:tsherkin wrote:So, now we HAVE to trade someone. Scottie makes some sense in that regard. If we're trading Scottie I need to see Jaylen Brown donning the crappy chevron
I guess he's an option. He's a good defender, but he's also not better than BI on offense, and that's a little concerning for a guy who is going to finish his deal at 65 million a year.S.W.A.N wrote:Nah. CMB is coming off the bench for a year or two, as would any player picked at 9.
To what end?Reeko wrote:mtcan wrote:Fix that jump shot and we will have a legit player. That's a big if........
From range the jump shot is so bad. He's good from the middy range, but from distance is pretty atrocious.
This is the same nonsense we've been holding out for with Scottie. If we want guys who can shoot, we should draft guys who can shoot, not projects with a high-percentage chance to never learn how and barely shot 70% at the line in his second college season.Reeko wrote:Time to shift gears. CMB is a great pick. He'll probably be an All Star by year 3 and perennial All NBA starting year 5. One of the greatest defenders in the history of the league, 3x DPOY.
I respect the hustle. I'm still not done being mad yet, so I'm not ready for ridiculous, hyperbolic optimism yet. Perhaps tomorrow xD Then maybe we can start talking about how we're going to mold him into a SF and develop his shooting proficiency through warlock nonsense, and then he'll be That Guy (TM) for us.
I know Masai doesn't really do drafting for need, but after a season where we were the 6th-worst offense in the league, you'd think he would pick an offensive player, and not a roleplayer-level defensive forward lacking size.

Absolutely no one wanted him at 4. Stop the
Bro this whole board wanted him, go back and look when we had the projected 4th overall pick. I got hate for questioning it.
BoyzNTheHood wrote:RaptorPride wrote:BoyzNTheHood wrote:Nah, you go back. No one did. The consensus top 4 was Flagg, Harper, Bailey, and Edgecombe.
Then you clearly weren't looking at the draft till very recent. I remember me being the only one questioning it.
Ask anyone on this board, I’m in these draft threads. Easily more than you.

IF CMB works out, we are talking about having a top 3 defense in the league.
