Newell is redundant now. We had our chance to draft him and didn’t.

Agreed, Newell would make 0-sense at this point, same position as both Matas/Noa...they need a C and a true SG/floor spacer, Coby/Ayo both combos, Giddey not really a PG but a facilitator, Lonzo a facilitator

I must not have noticed last year.

GM and teams should say something because it kills momentum.. Having a day to think about it changes things.

Oh well...it's odd, but not a huge deal.

What does it kill? It makes the early 2nd rounders more valuable

Why are they more valuable?

I said it kills momentum. There's a difference between teams on the clock and when the first round is over they go right into the 2nd than having a day to sit and think about it.

Bulls are going sell their 2nd round pick for cash considerations, aren’t they?

If that was offered to us and we passed….mother f***er

only reason it wouldn't have been offered to bulls is if pels wanted 2 guys and bulls took 1 of them

They could’ve been between Noa and Queen. But why not make the same offer to the Bulls and try for the better spot? I’m legit stunned NO gave up their 1st. They’re gonna be awful again next year, thats a top 10 pick at worst. Damn…

depends on how far down they thought both players could drop. obviously the capital they gave up would have gone down the lower their targeted players dropped. no reason to make a deal until one of them is off the board

but if it was NOT a "queen or noa" scenario, then certainly the bulls could have made the same deal

Probably since it looks like there will be no trade to make space.

As people wait all night and think about it the top picks in the second round get more offers. Happens all the time in the NFL.

Didn't Jordan Bell say that the Bulls would regret selling his rights?

Powell has a TON of upside. That UNC team was a disaster. And it made him look a lot less impact full than he should have.

Im not sure how I didn't realize Jaxson Hayes was a FA, I'd target him with some reasonable deal.

the teams asked for it specifically for this reason

they didn't want to have to jam in all their second round decision-making into a tight window after 11 p.m. when they only get 2 minutes on the clock per pick
