If somehow we can't draft Sorber or Queen at 18, I would be open to drafting Maxine Raynuad, he is a more finished product on offense/defense > Tristan, Maxime could be a not so surprise earlier pick though.

Rasheer Fleming is Kevin Broom's top pick for us at 18.

Would be a great pick. He’ll never make an AS game with his limited handle/creativity, but he’s a lunch pale guy that can defend multiple positions and hit open shots.

Fleming is a great pick at 18.

I also think Clifford is a great pick at 18.

Yeah, Fleming makes pretty good sense from a positional need standpoint. We have a lot of decent role-playing forwards on the roster, but most of them are on the smallish side - ideal more for the 3 than the 4. It would be nice to have a big 3&D forward who can pull down 8 or 9 boards per 36 and guard a center in a switch. He projects to be much like what Rui Hachimura does in LA (now that he isn't being tasked to do any shot creation), only hopefully with better rebounding.

If we draft Maluach at #6, I'd be pretty happy with Fleming at #18.

If we draft a non-center at #6, I'd still prefer a center like Wolf or Sorber at #18.

I’m on board with this. Maluach+ Fleming increases our already tremendous size and length. Fleming ranked at the top of both length and agility measures. Has the reach of a center.

Khaman provides interior scoring. Sheers 3pt shooting provides a substitute for Sarr in a similar capacity. Or next to him for a 5 out configuration.

If some surprise happens at the top of the draft id be happy with Ace + Sorber. Adding length with both, plus offensive talent (Ace) and defensive savvy (Sorber).

I like Wolf but hopefully Sorber would be there. Coward also intrigues me, surname notwithstanding

Almost just as you have it. I’d go

Beringer
Coward
Essengue
Wolf
Fleming
Richardson
Making extreme statements like "only" sounds like there are "no" Jokics in this draft? Jokic is an engine that was drafted in the 2nd round. Always a chance to see diamond dropped by sloppy burgular after a theft.

Not getting attached to this pick. With the way the Nets loaded up, seems like we will trade this pick for one of Bailey or Edgecomb - especially after clearing out Poole.
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?

Flipped back through this, doclinkin was the only one who mentioned Will Riley as a possibility here, though others may have talked him up in other threads. Congrats doc.

He wouldn't be a terrible pick at #6.

I expect he will be a well-rounded SG for years to come.

I said that this morning (HST) in The Draft Thread several hours before the draft.

Riley has a decent chance to be even BETTER than Johnson.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.
