There is some talk on the draft board that wonders if one of the new owners is Chinese

Have to imagine there’s more moves coming which I like. Maybe Ayton gone, at least expect that Rob’s deal is probably getting declined.

Rob is guaranteed, its not a Team Option.

And I have a really hard time seeing a market for Ayton. LAL to give Luka a lob threat and not crush 2026 cap space is the only real suitor I can think of.

Like, financially they just got a billion more fans, so i guess that's all that matters.

II didn't think it could get worse after trading Coward, but for this? For this?

The rest of the league laughs at us.

What do you think Holiday is thinking? What about Clingan?

How's Ayton doing right now?

The 3 words we get from Jody every year are gonna be so fun. The war room footage of them all cheering and clapping is gonna go down in history.

Reminds me of Viv when they got Stuaskus.

This is a nightmare. I never left that desert freeway. I'm still tripping.

Timelord's final year is guaranteed; he might have a player option, might not

I think it was Bilas that said our scouts have been :o for like two years, taking trips to China to watch him play. Like Deni, I have no clue who this kid is. Bilas also commented on us taking him so high, but then said essentially, Who cares where you pick him, as long as you get the guy you really want. We did also gain a FRP and a couple 2nds by just trading down a tiny bit. Hard for me to complain really. and I'll be making the Vegas trip for sure to see this kid, hopefully blow up and make a name for himself. They said he will be on Portlands' roster next season.

Cracks me up to think about Norman Powell as our SF with the Shaq of Troutdale as our C not long ago. We sure grew up, didn't we.

Pretty sure the final year was a TO unless Portland picked it up?

I would give anything to be in the room when Joe and Schmitz are fired.

I would be ok with the pick if i got to watch it, and they should publish it, we deserve that at least.

Nope. Just a standard guaranteed contract

If the scouting office has been high on Yang for years then why take a position locked C in 2024 when you have a position locked C in 2025 that you want? Its insane.

That being said - I still would take this draft over the NO draft. Trading a 2026!!!! UNP FRP and 23 to move up for Queen is WILDLY worse than this pick. Its not even close. That team sucks, just traded for Poole, is relying on Zion and drafted 7 in 2025 - and they traded a UNP 2026 FRP + 23 for Queen. I would be ripping my hair out if I was a Pelicans fan.

LOL and now ATL gets the guy they wanted at 13 at 23 in Newell + that 2026 FRP UNP. Incredible

Has to be Portland's.

If in 2028, it looks like Portland might loose out on the swap, they can possibly trade Orlando's pick to Chicago to clear the pick to be able to exercise the pick swap

Thanks for the answer. I would also point out if the Orlando 2028 pick is unprotected that means Portland is now able to trade the 2029 pick without violating the rule about consecutive years first round pick and could even trade the 2027 first with restrictions on if conveys to Chicago( in other words could restrict the pick to being traded only if it is in the lottery

I think the trade down was great. Just not a fan of going back to back on position locked C's.

I hope we use the 1 or both of the SRP we acquired to get into the late R1 or early R2.

Holding out hope Blazers get one of Nets picks. Worst of '29 picks for #28 & 39

Get Nique / Fleming / Thiero
