(I agree not being able to move further up is disappointing)

This draft shows the front office is all over the place. Kon is a pick that tells you they think they can still compete with the current core, but then trading Mark for nothing shows that winning still likely isn't the goal. We picked the most low potential pick possible while also putting us in an even worse position to compete.

I guess I was the only one on here that wanted Kon but I think he offers them flexibility with whichever path they choose. If Melo/Miller stay healthy this season and the team exceeds expectations, Kon is a natural fit between the two while they try to build around this current core. But say this year is another disaster and they look to trade LaMelo, Kon naturally fits any type of future path they take for roster construction.

I think you've lost your mind if you think shoving Kon into that perimeter group is a recipe for success.

The only way Kon "fits" is as a 6/7/8th man

Nice pickup for Orlando. They could use another guard that can shoot. Jase might be their 4th guard this season (Bane/Suggs/Black/Jase).

There is zero way we will get Fleming at 29. Just stating this as a fact.

Here is the theme song for our draft tonight: Neil Young “Helpless”. Listen and relate…just substitute “North Carolina” for the lyric “North Ontario”.

Draft Flemming I can go to sleep with a peace of mind tonight.

Of course they will screw that up.

Bro... you are wrong. Kon knows how to play basketball. When you watch him in some games you are going to appreciate. There is no better skill than knowing how to play, what to do, where to be when **** breaks down.

Also, you need need need guys that hit their free throws. When you are in the heat of battle, 2/2 means something really different than 1/2. If you 0/2, just go home.

I would trade up and get Fleming. He's exactly what we need at the moment. Someone who can play defense!

Drafting at 4 for a guy who makes free throws in the heat of battle

Yeah, idiot circle jerk committee at the front office gonna just use the 3 remaining picks to grab another crop of tryouts, hoping at least one sticks. Remember the endless auditions last year? Same thing, different venue.

I HATE PETERSON.

sigh, i wanted Ben Saraf here...

Anyway, at least there are pieces to trade for upgrades. Hope something will be done with Nets for Claxton

Speaking of Nets, they are collecting guards/secondary offence initiators in this draft

ffs they get all interesting late prospects

Return to Charlotte Hornets
