At the end of the day Masai's drafting track record is very strong. Believe in Masai!

I can't believe this process I have absolutely no control over has left me unfulfilled.

Also, I can't wait to do the same thing all over again next year

Im sure all of us had a feeling CMB could be the pick based on type of player Masai likes....But we all questioned the fit with our current roster....Which is still a big question that needs to be answered....Just because we drafted him still does not mean the fit is great...Which i think most people that didn't want to draft him were questioning...

Talent wise i think we all know CMB is very talented....We will see how the fit plays out...But from what i seen in the draft threads lots of people thought its possible CMB could be the pick but no one wanted him to be the pick because of shooting/fit....Which is still up for debate...

I rewatched it and it was exactly what he said word for word. I'm so sick to my stomach

So we are trusting reddit mom's lip readers now?

Think he whispered to Chloe that he doesn't want to play in Lowry's fat overrated shadow and the CN Tower is ugly and he hates the Real Jerk's food.

I totally get it and see the upside - just have to pray the shot comes along to some degree. What degree will determine how high the ceiling ends up. The defence and smarts are there, scoring is the question. A little more size would be nice but has the length to be a small ball C at least.

I get the skepticism about his shot, but CMB averaged 22 pts per 40 on 63% TS and 55% FTr. If scoring is his biggest weakness, we might have found a good one.

Yeah, scoring in the NBA is a little different, but point taken.

I'm not certain it translates over either, but he should be at least a passable offensive player. Probably has a high floor and low bust potential because of his defensive ability even if he doesn't learn to shoot.

That Collin-Jakob front court is gonna kill it defensively but won't be able to get a bucket.

i joke, I trust Masai's track record that this guy will be productive.

One thing I noticed in CMB's highlights is he seems to have a defensive signature. It's a pre-rotation where he figures out the next pass ahead of time and shows up just in time to rip the ball out of the roller/cutter's hands. It's not quite Dream catching hilarious shot attempts from 90s guards, but it's pretty good.

I actually liked this guy more then Maluach but figured if Mal fell to us we’d probably have to take him. Remains to be seen if he’s all that talented. Boyles for sure we know can play I think at least that’s what we wanted for a pick. Again, if only he could shoot.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Yea it does, he said he was gonna post a Drake song as his first story. They asked which song and bro didn't know. He probably did not want to come here. But that's fine Lowry didn't either.

CMB’s upside has to be ridiculously high if Masai picks him over the likes of Maluach, Essengue, etc.
In Masai We Trust :meditate:

Not when he turns the ball over more than he assists.

it's a pretty good comparison for him.

CMB is a better, more impactful defender (especially coming out of college) and a better playmaker, but not a bad comp tbh. Different game though, and PJ did most of his work with his back to the basket, but I see the similarities. We tried to pigeon-hole PJ into a traditional old-school 4. Everybody was looking for the next Rodman. His career may have turned out very differently if we had leaned into what made him special
