Chill tf out
Its 25th pick man. Its rare for these dudes to even make it past the first contract. At least we picked someone with 1 NBA level skill unlike our usual pick a dude and hope he learns a skill.
This pick totally goes against our normal player architecture.. maybe the FO is learning.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft Thread 2.0
Jase is the same size as Reed Sheppard (6’2” w/ shoes) that everyone was drooling over last season.
However, Jase has a 6’6” wingspan (Sheppard 6’3”)
Jase is better across the board in almost every advanced metric than Sheppard.
Reed Sheppard was a top-3 pick just last year…

Re: 2025 NBA Draft Thread 2.0
Jase shouldn't have been there at #25. Freshman don't play for izzo...much less play as well as Jase did. He can SCORE the ball. He's efficient. He is competitive as hell. He's going to fit in nicely with the 2nd unit.

meh....He only made 1.3 threes a game
It's hard to extrapolate much on his offense considering he got limited minutes for half of the season. Advanced stats like him a lot. We're on of the few teams that can cover his height issues.
EDIT:
Actually his BPM his 11.5 is pretty damn good, and is not minutes based.

He was one of the best shooters in the draft. The issue is, is hes very tiny. He does give a lot of effort on defense too. Hes going to fight.
It makes sense given his metrics as a catch and shoot player. This team is absolutely loading up on shooters to surround Paolo and Franz so far.

Sheppard also had a 7'9.5" standing reach, and Jase has an 8'2.50" standing reach.Magic_Johnny12 wrote:Jase is the same size as Reed Sheppard (6’2” w/ shoes) that everyone was drooling over last season.

No one would have wanted to trade Cole if he was a 41% 3PT shooter though...
We will see how it translates. Pretty meh.
Guy is 6’1 and tiny.
College Cole: 50.1 TS%
College Jase: 62.4 TS%
That is WORLDS different. Hopefully it translates.
That shooting.... as a FRESHMAN!
Played bigger than most people realized .... until a measuring tape next to him.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft Thread 2.0
I’m actually excited about Jase. Dude might be shorter than average but he plays big and is pretty damn efficient.
On top of that he’s athletic. I think he’s an perfect player to grab at our spot and see if he can grow into a solid rotational player.
