Come on man. Anthony Bennett was taken number one. This isn't great, but it isn't the end of the world.

That has to be arguably one of the worst pick in the draft history. He's not out of the league due to injuries, he just sucked so bad. No one had him going #1.

But a lot of us did want them to make a big swing. I guess they did. I don't think this one will work out, but maybe I'll be wrong.

Should've gotten a trade down in the 1st and some seconds or a late 1st and a future 1st with lotto protections. That honestly would've been a better choice than taking yang so high

This is a low blow for me personally, as I actually suggested on this site days before the draft, that the Blazers should do exactly what they did by getting Collins. Still kinda think we ruined the kid by trying to make him a C, instead of a stretch 4. Not sure about the answer to your question though. Hopefully Yang will become a surprise like the Greek Freak was when he got drafted.

Zach was never going to be an effective PF. He actually played more PF in Portland than anywhere else. Popovich experimented with him, a little, at PF, but gave up on the experiment pretty quickly

Zach's mobility was compromised by numerous injuries; and he gained mass as he matured.

he was a huge reach by Olshey in the 2017 draft.

Oh that's a good pick for the Celtics I feel. Would've been nice to get the 28th and taken him.

If the new Chinese owner ends up being a really good owner, I could live with the Blazers using the pick on

Honestly, thinking about it, picking Hansen there might have been worth it just to see how badly Deckard loses it over at BE later tonight.

Felt like McNeeley was destined for Boston - Hugo is a massive sleeper though.

Trying to keep in mind just how confused and pissed off I was this very time last year. I remember thinking, who the heck is this Deni guy? What the "bleep" was rolling through my head for days until I saw him astually play.

Its a risky pick and they may have reached a bit, but Yang is a pretty intriguing prospect. He may have been getting pretty underrated by consensus having him in the 2nd round.

lol some good cope fellas.

It seems like every other team did a pretty decent job with their draft, picks that made sense. New orleans is the only other team that had as questionable a draft as us

I cant find the quote but an exec said it was the wildest pick they've ever seen and that Cronin's job had to be on the line.

The trade for Jrue and this use of assets. He has to be fired. But it really doesnt matter because the team hasnt been sold. They really screwed up for years with this off season and it's not over.

The things im seeing online are hilarious. I've never seen anything like this, it's crazy.

If he came out and became Jokic sure. But even he was taken 42.

What a joke.

Yang has Kareem's skyhook!!! The skyhook is a very difficult shot to master, and impossible to block.

Sadly, that is the only positive I have at this time.

Charlotte’s draft is kinda nice with two of the best pure shooters.

anyone remember a few years ago sacramento took papagiannis in the mid 1st when he was a projected second rounder? this feels like a repeat of that, thinking they are so much smarter than everyone.

I mean these guys do this for a living so i want to give some credit right, but anyone on this board could have done better.

We could have bought a second and picked him.

We also could have traded this pick for an unprotected pick in 26 from NO.

There's a lot of win now players we could have gotten too. Who? No way of knowing, but generally you can get good players here. Especially at 11, if you were trying to win now.

Collins proved to be a pretty damn serviceable player he was drafted too high, but the notion that he was a complete bust is just not right.

yeah, a lot of that going on; same with the Jrue trade

of course, I'm pretty negative on the Blazers these days so I view things thru that lens

it may be that Cronin's 2025 draft was Olshey's 2017 draft

I'm going around on youtube and watching the live reactions to the pick.

Someone from No ceilings was at the clutch pro day in LA, and they said he was terrible.. They're all laughing at us. Everyone.

Apparently BK really wanted him at 36. That was pretty solid info from scouts they got.

Ok, so Cronin has to be fired i guess right?

This has to be the nail in the coffin for this bozo.
