White Boy MF'n Summer!

This draft was all about high IQ smart players.

They basically told LaMelo/Miller/Bridges they're not smart enough let's bring these prep white Boyz in and let them lead these athletic immature athletes.

McNeeley is good value at that spot tbh but it is just hilarious in context with the Kon pick. I probably would have taken Fleming but McNeeley does have more upside. I value fit a decent amount with later picks, though, and I think Fleming was a perfect fit.

I actually don't hate this pick, might as well take as many white guy shooters that hustle and playmake as possible since we don't want to pay for one in FA

I can only conclude that Jeff was highly impressed by TJ McConnell.

I like drafting McNeely at 29 way better than Kon at four. This is exactly where you take glue guys.

McNeely isn't a shooter though, he shot 31% from 3 and 38% overall.

Good news is we can grab Kalkbrenner or Raynaud - likely- at 33.

F#)$(&( Hornets better trade back up again to get Fleming or Reynaud….both won’t last to their next pick.

Liam is realizing his dream and crying about it. Poor guy has sat all night. I feel it Charles…he’s setting the table for us with his character. THATS ALL YOU F@*#*$*@ NEED IS CHARACTER PEOPLE!!! Do you not understand??

CHARACTER AND HARD WORK CHANGES THE CULTURE!! Not trading away the crappy characters…but DRAFTING HIGH CHARACTER OVER AND OVER FOR 10 MORE DRAFTS UNTIL WE ARE FILLED SLAP UP WITH CHARACTER!
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

He makes no sense to me over Fleming.

He had to be primary creator at UConn and literally played PG for part of the season. His shot role and shot diet were pretty inappropriate and might have significantly hurt his efficiency. He looks like a shooter and shot 87% from the free throw line.

And the Clippers take a Swiss who I can’t spell. What a crappy first round for this pathetic front office.

Hope I can chill out and get some sleep. Hate this front office.

Round 1 Recap

Hornets trade their starting center for $8mil in dead cap, two **** picks, Nipples, and McNeeley.

They managed to get worse now and in the future. Managed to extend their timeline even further, and will now get to completely tear down the entire roster when Melo demands a trade.

Total coup. Case study stuff
