The more clips I watch the more I think he's like Corliss Williamson. I thought Amare as well but if you remember Amare he was quite the strong finisher, and CMB doesn't have that in his game. Kind of the same issue we have with Barnes, doesn't use his length to finish strong

He may also be like Ed Davis - who was automatic and crafty around the basket. I liked him.

thinking on it. masai is probably sort of gambling/hoping that he can possibly make a kawhi-sized leap with his jumper because if that hits, he's basically a kawhi-like with his defense/measurables/playmaking and scoring inside the arc. I don't know that he gets there, because no one can predict shooting, but I think that's part of the rationale beyond that he can be an instant contributor off-the-bench and fits what they like in terms of grit/competitiveness.

obviously that's a very high benchmark but there's a reason why masai drafted him over some of the other prospects out there, who also had lots of potential.

I think they'll envision him ideally as a possible future 3 or 4 instead of a small 4/5 but that would be down the road.

Watched some offensive highlights… all of his points are attacking the basket… at 6’6.5 with average athleticism and no jumpshot we’re expecting him to get his game off in the nba? He’s like Rondae Hollis Jefferson.

His defense better be damn **** good… is he a lockdown 1 on 1 guy? Or is he just supposed to be another team defender like Scottie Barnes, who’s measurables and athleticism looked even better than cmbs?
