obviously that's a very high benchmark but there's a reason why masai drafted him over some of the other prospects out there, who also had lots of potential.
I think they'll envision him ideally as a possible future 3 or 4 instead of a small 4/5 but that would be down the road.
Kawhi has an elite handle
he didn't come fully formed like that out of san diego state lol. obviously he worked on a whole lot of his game. and that's the bet they're making with cmb. but the building blocks are there.
and to be clear, i'm not at all saying he's gonna be 100% be kawhi or anything. I'm saying sort of curve is what they have in mind with this pick.
and they keep chasing these guys because if they hit, they're the most valuable archetypes in the league.
