Ahhh, yes. Idk, Maluach upside is what, top 10 C in the league? Obviously we’d all be happy with that outcome. I’m speaking more on the overall upside of Maluach + Williams. I would be pretty thrilled with Maluach + using those picks to trade for a PG/Sf/PF, or take a swing on Flemming, Thiero, etc at 29.

Top 10 in any position is tough. Top 10 at the 5 is probably the easiest.

Without getting too far into the weeds, if he reaches his ceiling, could he be a Jarret Allen, Myles Turner (if he finds his shot), Naz Reid, Lively level guy? These guys are probably sitting at around the #10-12 on the list. Gobert is probably just inside of the top 10 because of his defensive impact...It's a stretch but quite frankly, there aren't that many guys with his ceiling to be a top 10 player at their positions where we were picking. I like Flemming but I don't really see top 10 PF. Even KJ, projecting him to be a top 10 guard is tough

Thunder - Hartenstein, Chet
Mavs - AD, Lively, Gafford, (and now Flagg)
Rockets - Sengun, Adams, KD, Jabari Smith Jr
Wolves - Gobert, Randle, Reid
Grizzlies - JJJ, Aldama, Edey

Yeah we've pretty quickly moved on from undersized 5's of the Warriors/Draymond glory days, now seemingly valuing big C's again. I mean, Grizzlies just resigned Steven Adams as well. Then you got Zubac who was getting DPOY love, obviously you still have Jokic out there at like 400lbs or whatever, Kings with Domas

Don't know cap consequences but on talent alone Mark Williams was great pickup for the Suns. He's an absolute beast if healthy

This draft means Suns see Oso as a 4 and rightfully so with his lack of center size. Just need to move one of the shooting guards for a proper floor general and Suns will be fun to watch with the upgrade in youth and size all round.

So do we still have 52 & 59? Let’s see what we can get done tomorrow. There’s a handful of guys I like still available.

I'm curious to see how the Suns navigate out of the 2nd apron. To me, it appears another team will have to help the Suns out a lot or being okay with 2nd round draft picks as compensation to take on Beal.

This is the only trade that makes sense to me.

The Wizards and Pelicans trade expands to a four-team trade after Blazers learn that Jrue Holiday absolutely does not want to be in Portland.

Suns -
Jrue Holiday
Kelly Olynyk

Wizards -
Bradley Beal
2nd round picks from Suns

Blazers -
CJ McCollum
2 2nd round picks from Suns

Pelicans -
Jordan Poole
Saddiq Bey

Suns save $5 million in salary cap space. Suns trade Cody Martin, Royce O'Neal for 2nd round picks and cap space.
Blazers get McCollum back, Wizards get Beal back.

Jrue / Gillespie
Booker / Green
Brooks / Grayson
Dunn / Olynyk / Oso
Williams / Maluach / Richards

This would be a dream scenario IMO, but it doesn't seem so farfetched.

Rasheer Flemming is the next pick Suns need. I would trade All 3 to 4 of the second rounders for that early 2nd round pick.
Suns culture changed overnight with Dunn, Flemmng, Maluach. All 3 can be developed as pure defensive trio.... just need a couple of defensive Guards and you have a very high ceiling defensive lineup.

Wasted pick. Would absolutely love to be proved wrong, because our future is at stake, but i'm almost sure he'll bust completely in a few years. Do not like this pick at all.

I don't think we keep Maluach. Ishbia wouldn't want a project. He wants to compete now.

Been listening to Gambo for the last 10 Minutes saying he knew it was Maluach because the suns loved him but didn’t think he would be there. Basically covering his rear end for being wrong on his “Gambo 5”. But that’s besides the point.

Point is, he either has no clue about a trade or lying about the Suns wanting Maluach.

Someone posted before the draft Gambo saying the Suns would take Maluach but didn't think he would be there at 10.

Yeah.

The first thing that Gambo said on their special Draft show was that IF Maluach would be available that’s our pick BUT it was expected to be gone before #10.

Basically every mock draft had Maluach going somewhere between #5-#9 so him being available at #10 was good news for the Suns.

So you're in for a huge disappointment with 2024/25 Suns' season...

He is a very good predictor since we traded pick 29 and there is only one round today.

Also had 5 shots at Maluach in his Gambo 5 and he wasn't in it.

The first thing that he said (three hours before the draft) is that Maluach would be our pick if he was available but Maluach was highly expected to be gone by #10.

So taking that into consideration then he put the Gambo 5 with the most realistic options at #10 but he was super clear about Maluach being our favorite guy.

My favorite options were Demim and Coward but I am pretty happy with Maluach.

Yesterday I heard a podcast from the Ringer
(https://open.spotify.com/episode/6FnTyGhRQD4voJyKj1dt9U) and they were REALLY HIGH on Maluach.

They talked about his fantastic finishing at the rim with great touch and how fast he is capable of learning from coaches...the guy seems to be a hard worker.

He would now be my #2 on my big board for the 2nd round behind Maxime Raynaud, simply out of need positionally at the 4.

I have Maxime Raynaud at 1 bg because of his extreme skillset versatility and shooting compliment he'd bring alongside of Maluach and Williams. Overall the Suns hig board now (depending upon trade ranges) needs to become:

1- Maxime Raynaud.
2- Rasheer Fleming.
3- Adou Thiero. ( ** Then a floor spacing PF in trade or free agency).
4- Bogoljub Markovic.
5- Eric Dixon.

Late 2nd to undraftedrange options

1- Steven Settle.
2- David N'Guessan.
3- Igor Milicic.
4- Jackson Moni.
5- Milan Momcilovic.

I dont know about the future of this team but after tonights results, I atleast feel better about the upcoming season. That's already something. I think we'll have more fun watching than previous 2 years.
