Very happy with this pick. I had him as a top 5 prospect in the draft. It's also re-assuring to know that Watson is still firing on all cylinders.

I would have gone Malauch but let's see the kid play.

Duff, you should be taking victory laps as a CMB guy on this board.

No need to attach yourself to Maluach's name after the fact. Masai rightfully said **** that, just like my query predicted he would.

I think I went back and forth on every prospect.

CMB was my very first projection.

I changed my mind on Malauch every other day

If he’s not wearing an elbows up or not the 51st state shirt, with a big old Canadian flag draped on his back, he’s not our guy.

I wanted CB, the Spurs got a lot of talent last night. I'm going to give CMB a chance, but I wonder how y'all would have reacted if we got CB and the Spurs got CMB.

For me, CMB is a better basketball prospect than Scottie was. Scottie hit immediately and has exceeded my expectations. If CMB just reaches my expectations I think he'll be about the same quality player as Scottie. He has better touch, and better post-game and half court awareness and his handle has a little more wiggle.

You are not understanding what im saying....I don't think HE himself didn't want to come here....I think HIM and his GF had a prefered destination over Toronto which if i had to guess it was the Suns....Since Phx is alot closer to where his GF plays ball....I think thats why they had that reaction....The reaction was obviously not happy/joyfull if you are being honest and subjective ....But it doesn't matter anyways hes in Toronto....

How is Phoenix Arizona closer to South Carolina? Chole Kitts plays for the South Carolina Gamecocks. Toronto is much closer lol

Customs, Going to diff country, Winter cold travel....In distance closer but it is alot more harder of a travel....Warmer city which they are used too....I don't think his GF would want to live in Toronto but living in Phx would prolly be more ideal...Again im speculating off his reaction...Because his reaction was not "Happy" Excited" if you are being honest with yourself.

Dude you're making so many assumptions who cares. We do this all the time we draft someone. The only exception was Scottie. At the end of the day it's a dream come true for them to be drafted.

I really think with Maluach it came down to inexperience and BBIQ. His lack of rebounding for his size as an example points to that.

I don't think they wanted Maluach and Chomche...just 2 guys who are so raw.

I think CMB gives them an impact guy from day 1 on the defensive side and also someone who is a great passer, which Darko stresses.

Last year we took on that defensive mentality and CMB fits that for sure. Being able to sit Barnrs and bring in CMB means no drop off in D. Some guys just contribute all over regardless if they score and CMB seems to be that guy. And he has power and touch inside to score...unlike Mogbo.

I think we are going to add a more experienced C to this group. That's what I am most excited fir next, tbh.

He obviously dislike the pick because its on a different country and multiple core players plays his position - Foward.

Yes...CMB is much more polished than Scottie was at draft time. I see what they are trying to do. They are, again...rightfully or wrongfully so...thinking that if shooting is the one thing keeping CMB from being a top 5 player in this draft that they can teach it and we'll have one the best guys out of the draft. Big 'if'. We saw Jamal Shead's shooting improve during his rookie season. We saw Mogbo actually take 3s and eventually start making them throughout the course of the season. But can we ever get Scottie up to...33%? 35%? I'd consider it a win if he is hitting even 35% from 3.

The processing of the game is his big swing skill. We hope he can transition from being primarily a small ball 5 to more of a 3/4 that can play the 5 in spurts.

Cooper Flagg's swing skill to me...is his processing and feel for the game. CMB is right up there in that department. What sets Cooper apart is that he has all the other fundamentals down at just 18 years of age.

Just went back to see exactly his reaction to getting picked ....May have been an over reaction
But i read the lips before the Adam Silver Announcment...

"His girl had a sulking look on her face"
"He smiles looking around and asks someone, "Am i really going here......"Damn"
Few seconds later he shakes his head saying "Nahh" And mouths something else i can't really tell what he said

Camera pans away and comes back to him rubbing his face looking a little down....

And then he gets picked and everyone seen the reaction after that...

Might have been a little 2 deep in there but just wanted to get the details correct....Even if he was a little upset coming here im sure he will love it after a few weeks....I suspect it was more his GF who didn't like it rather than him and thats why the reaction....

I know he said after the fact it was a "Shocked" moment but he wouldn't come out and say anything different....Its not like he would admit on live TV to being upset...Im not a body language expert but...

Bobby said they didnt leak the pick to him so how could he have reacted before adam silver said his name. Man people need to get over this lmao

I’m honestly embarrassed for these people.

Everyone is now a body language expert. Maybe focus some time on his abilities on the court

CMB may be Scottie’s replacement if we end up trading for Giannis. This pick may have been made for future potential trades and acquisitions.

When the Toronto Tempo select Chloe Kitts in next year's draft...it will all make sense. They will produce a huge baby (6'7 and 6'2 ---> offspring should be very tall) and it will be Canadian.

i dunno, sounds like is release is pretty good but his problem is his setup? time will tell but im optimistic tbh.

Have the last 30 "athletic guys that can't shoot, that we can totally teach how to shoot" that didn't pan out not dampen your optimism?

OG and Pascal shoot very well. Scottie has been a bit disappointing but has still made strides.

Who in the draft are you referring to here? Or are you referring to the fliers we took on Rondae Hollis Jefferson and Stanley Johnson? lol.

My 2 cents:

I was a KM guy but I ask myself, who knows KM better than Masai? Who has more non-BB incentives than him to draft him? yet he passed, why? to piss me off? We aint that important. Otherwise who's out there without flaws?

Regarding fit: way I see it CMB is our de facto backup center and he and Mogbo should hold the fort, no issues there. We will prolly get a big body today but CMB should be a great experiment. There will be issues to have him in the SL when the time comes but we are not remotely there.

Regarding offense: As opposed to SB, CMB was the man on his team, used to all sort of double teams etc... so on that side he's already more advanced. The biggie is the shot of course, can anybody explain how is his shot broken? I just don't see it. The bet here is not as crazy as the numbers say, I trust Masai saw a way.

Because that kid with a shot is a star and if he gets to 35% from the corners he is as good as OG, and you flip out if you get OG at 9.
