How would you rate Nets draft from 1-10 scale ?

I honestly don’t know how to feel about it :banghead:

Saraf is a good one, I regularly see him play in Ulm, which is a out 80km away from my hometown.
Currently playing the final game today against Munich.

Still sad Rockets traded away the Coward pick, tbh.

If I'd had a real big board, it probably would've been:

Flagg
Harper
Coward

and he was right there at #10, the perfect team fit and everything.

The only thing that saves the KD trade is that we got rid of Green. That's what makes it okay, almost, that we had to give up Coward.

When my bro called me after the Rockets lost Game 7 to the Warriors, we were doing an impromptu post-mortem, and he asked me, "What would you like them to do next?" I responded, "Well, priority one should be getting off of Green in the smartest way possible."

So, I guess I can't have my cake and eat it, too!

Hahaha, it's so hard to let go of what could have been.

But we move forward.

I just saw a positive comp for VJ to grown into NBA champion Iman Shumpert .... He'll need to develop his handles and really work on his defense, but I can see him doing it.....

Iman played point guard in college

You guys made some very interesting picks. I like Traore the most.

Probably the other rookie they have. If anyone can have man boobs, its the other half of the Obese Bros

Man, I didn't even notice the obvious joke potential with the Pelicans current star and man boobs.

Imo Egor and Traore will be excellent pickups for Nets.
But above all that, they still have army of picks and Cam/Claxton to sell.

Marks went to work. That team looked dead in 2023

You can't stash 1st round pick which doesn't want to be stashed. And Saraf obviously doesn't want (and he is better player at least right now than very raw Demin and Traore)

In terms of talent, very high. But of course with three PGs drafted, there's only so far you can reasonably stretch positionless basketball. Trades coming, surely.

great fit with current roster and should provide the much needed culture shock they need.

Disagree on this. ESPN's player comp was Draymond Green. That is not a fit with Scottie Barnes one bit.

How ?

Loading up on big guards and a big with ball skills. I already saw comments on their draft about how there's only one ball...that worked out well for OKC. Even Powell who is not a ballhandler models his game after Jrue in terms of his perimeter defense.

i love what the nets did, people talked the same about okc. happens is some of those guys pan out, some don't pan out, some of those pgs adapt to other roles, some aggregate more trade value than playing value and the reality is out of that plethora of "pgs" okc ended up with a very strong team full of iq players and somewhat of a shortage of actual creative pg play at the end of the process

Those 5 minutes are for possible trades. More things happening between stage than just calliing top guy from your big board.

When you refuse to work out for teams, it puts a lot of question marks on your card. He may have been betting on himself but I'm thinking his hand just busted.

Ahh, didn't know that. Thanks.

He apparently cancelled some nba meetings, meaning nba teams had their work scheduling, booking etc. and then Ace camp cancelled it. Seemed like some teams were pissed, also I believe he interviewd badly prior, but at the end, he just wanted to drop to Was or Brooklyn.
