a small guard that doesn't play defense next to brunson who also doesn't play defense?

is what we need?

You need someone that can create their own shot in the backcourt next to Jalen

thats fine but not someone who is a defensive liability that can't guard the POA.

Sabonis and Keegan Murray for KAT works in the trade checker. I’d give it some consideration, would prefer Monk over Murray though.

Thoughts?
Trust but verify.

Hmm... that DET pick everyone was telling us for years was worthless and wouldn't convey turned out to be the 17th pick in this draft...update your memory banks on this.

At this point if we give up an asset it will always maximize its value to the other team. It’s just how it always goes. The one time it should have worked the other way the Mavs tanked to keep it and didn’t get officially punished.

Though I still think behind the scenes they forced Cuban to sell the team as punishment…..

Aside from a longshot Giannis landing (or a Booker), is there really anything the Knicks could do this summer that would get you excited?

A new (to the NBA) head coach might get our interest going, but just a retread coach? I can only see that generating mild interest, if that. :(

It's apt to be a long, boring BB summer. And unless we get some shooters and a ball-moving offense, it might just be a boring season to come? :dontknow:

Not to mention the Bucks pick that Knicks fans were told was trash turned into the 19th pick in this draft... memory bank that one, too

Just curious, anyone interested in Kuminga? Already a very solid player and he has star upside still.

maybe GS would do a S&T, and I could see them being interested in Hart. hell, I'd even do Mikal for Kuminga

that Mikal trade was quite bad in hindsight

I find it funny how you call the Mikal trade “quite bad in hindsight” and propose a trade of Mikal for a bench player who may never actually become better than him, all within only a minute or two. I disagree with those ideas. Bridges has been good for us.

Wiggins would be a GREAT fit with the Lakers, especially alongside LeBron in the front court.

Wiggins is kind of like OG where he's big enough to play the 4 comfortably, but still capable of switching to other positions.

Rui is more of a traditional big body 4, which makes it hard to fit next to LeBron who is pretty much the same now.

Tbf he’s also not bad, but Mikal is actually a good and complete player. He’s clearly a keeper to me.

I have high interest in Kuminga. He has star upside to me. It’s unfortunate he hasn’t been given an opportunity under Steve Kerr. If you can flip Hart or Mikal for him I would definitely do it.

Mikal won us Game 1 with the steal on Jaylen Brown and Game 2 with the block on Jayson Tatum. The two most clutch defensive plays in the last 25 years for the Knicks. If that doesn't make him a keeper, then I don't know what else could!

He had 3 consecutive games in the playoffs against Minny with 30 points, 23 points and 26 points. To say he isn’t good is crazy fam  if he gets an opportunity he plays well for the most part.

Giannis might still be in play.
