The New Orleans Pelicans traded up from No. 23 to No. 13 with the Atlanta Hawks to select Derik Queen. The Hawks will acquire the No. 23 pick and the more favorable unprotected 2026 first round pick from either the Pelicans or Milwaukee Bucks.

Agree. It certainly gives them the potential of a much higher pick. New Orleans must be very high on Queen as their future center, otherwise why would you risk potentially trading a top 5 pick next year? We never know how these trades work out until years later, but odds are Atlanta projects to have a high lottery pick next year.

Doesn't seem like Dumars has been making wise choices since taking over. Hes pretty much going all in on Queen who doesn't seem like a very good fit next to Zion. Maybe they owe ATL a favour, they must be their favorite trade partner
