Funny right at end of the pregame they showed a
graphic of Sonic's player, the Glove perhaps.
I understand few outside of Seattle give af but
a few still remember. #sonicgate #fishercob

Had a good time hanging with PIF last night. A mensch and true Wizards die hard. He fusses with every pick. Truly enjoyable watching him try to cope in real time then totally fail and cuss out the fates. All while instructing other bar patrons in the greatest film makers ever etc. And watching pretty girls walk by. PIF is my spirit animal, I only hope I grow old with that much feistiness and spirit.

I get a text this morning though that he stepped off a curb and broke his elbow, shoulder and hurt his ribs. Well damn. Injury to insult. And _I_ was the one who had 3 ciders and a shot of tequila. He just had a sandwich and a coke.

Anyway he said it’ll be a while before he’s able to type comfortably so will be out of pocket and off board for a while. I told him to call me if he needs to rant and I will translate for him. While totally misinterpreting whatever he says. :clown:

We planned to meet up for games next year but now I dunno. He keeps stepping into traffic whenever we are due to hang out. I know you have to relish disaster to be a fan of this team but that’s taking it a little too far.

That's awful. Prayers up for PIF. Let him know his Wizfan brethren wish him a speedy recovery.

Lol. I’m sure he’ll read this. Now you can just insult him and he can’t respond.

I find it more suspicious that you two had drinks together, there's a break in the story, and then somehow you end up home unscathed and he's in the hospital. You want to tell us the real story?

Actually the first time I met him he had scratches from fighting with a curb. I think it’s very on brand that he will pick fights with the forces of gravity and the earth itself.

Even more impressed with this board after wandering onto two others after the draft, something I haven't done in a few years. First I went to the Utah board and no one had even bothered to post recently either before the draft or after it. Despite the Bailey pick. Then I went to New Orleans and the post draft thread only had one poster, the mod who started it. There was one other with a few brief comments but then I come back here and there's more volume and passion on our round 2 pick board. It just impressed me again how strong and passionate this fan base is.

Thank you all and may we someday again have a team worthy of it.

I'm sure PIF knows this but just in case... most editors like MS Word, etc, can take dictation.

I found this thread before the zards in the media so I
stopped looking and commented here.

My comment is simply that I'm not terribly impressed
with the 3 main zards oriented podcasts that pop up
on my feed

Those are:
Locked on Wizards
Wizards Latest
and Dirty Bucket (dude)

At the risk of damning with faint praise, my
favs here are def more interesting and insightful
than the majority of what I see on any of those
Podcasts.

Is there one I'm not seeing that I should be or is
just a suck time of year?

No, all the Wizards podcasts suck. It is what it is. Until Dat starts one we're stuck with these. My favorite is the dirty bucket since he at least has a personality.

Our old friend TSW/Kev has one he updates very infrequently but to be honest not everyone is meant to be a podcaster.

The guy on Dirty Buckets is kinda clownishly funny
the way he repetitively uses Dude. He sounds like
he's familiar with the local dispensaries. lol,
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

When Blev in Wizards restarts their coverage of the Wizards, they are worth the listen. Its Matt Moderno and Jahidi White.

True, it takes a little getting used to. He does have a draft show every year during the draft that is focused on the Wizards, and he brings on some good guests. He is pretty low-key in his approach, but he does make good points. I like that he takes listener questions.

The Wizards Podcast by Greg Finberg is good. Not monotone :-) He is informative and makes good points as well.

Moderno and Finberg are my go-to.

Locked On Wizards is average. I like Strober and his takes, but Ayubi needs to fix his mic - it goes from him shouting excitedly as he tries to make a point to normal volume. Even though I have earphones that adjust the highs and lows in volume, this really bothers me still, and takes away from the enjoyment of the pod.

The SportsEthos Washington Wizards Podcast is so-so when they do release a pod, but if you're just looking to get your fix for all things Wizards like I am, it's one more to add to the collection.
Capital Hoops Caucus covers Wizards and other Washington teams. Its ok too. I'm not a big fan of them, but if you're looking for a Wizards fix while not much is going on, then may as well listen to it.
