Maybe winning isn't 1st priority on his list any more

Yes.
GSW, Sacramento, LA Clips/Lakers are in California.

States with no state taxes, with teams : Texas (Dallas, Houston, San Antonio), Tennessee (Memphis), and Florida (Orlando and Miami).

You could probably play for the Blazers but live in Vancouver WA and get this benefit as well.

I’m pretty sure athletes pay income tax based upon where they play games. So when members of the Houston Rockets plays in Los Angeles they pay California state taxes for that game check.

Not enough depth and athletes.

This is the sad thing about the internet, when people say things that are not true with such conviction that it can turn into the truth in other people's eyes.

It's clearly documented that Luka was traded without his participation to the Lakers.

This same guy was talking about how tough players in the past were and how guys like Nash and Amare never missed games due to injuries or had their minutes managed. You know the guy with a bad back and the guy who missed a season with an ACL...

Yup that was my entire argument. LOL

Yes though guys like KD often go there because it gives them access to the tech industry as investors in a way nowhere else really could. So they kinda buck that trend because that perk offsets it. That said KD has a fortune already invested in the tech industry as I understand it. So perhaps he's wanting to move away as his investments come to life.

People think it’s all Denver but that’s a simplistic pov. IMO a star would rather join OKC and play with their core than Jokic. People overrate how likeable Jokic is as a teammate. Lol

Btw imo as a leader SGA > Jokic.

I mean an actual star in place of Murray could be averaging the easiest 30 a game of their life. People think others would play with Jokic because he creates for others and doesn't even care if he shoots.

You just proved my point.. player averages 30 -> gets tainted due to Jokic getting the credit for “making his teammates better”. You don’t see how that could be a problem huh… I know you can’t because you got those Jokic colored glasses on.

Murray has never made an allstar team and due to his huge playoff scoring games people prop him up to be among the all nba players. Sorry but the general view on guys who play with Jokic is far more biased towards them being better than they are. Than Jokic doing it for them. Same reason KD got all the love playing next to Curry. Curry was the engine, but KD walked away with the finals MVPs that the average fan falls in love with.

Stars want to play with Jokic, but Denver needs to have the pieces or cap space to get those stars, lol.

True

And Nugget players can live in Cheyenne, Wyoming instead of Denver, Colorado. For this as well. :D

Because if you lose it's your fault, if you win its because of Jokic. Its why a lot of stars didn't want to play with Lebron.

You generally pay taxes based on where you work, not live. Now with the NBA...do you qualify based on a days there? I dunno how all that works as every state and city is different. But I'd guess you can't work around it as these places aren't about to lose that NBA player tax money over a loophole.

Because Jokic will get all of the credit and none of the blame. Which is the case for a lot of stars. Its HIS team and he already won a chip too. KD was the FMVP but never got any real credit for those chips. Players want to win but they also want some of the glory that comes with it..being the guy to help take a team over the top gets you that being "carried" to a chip due to jumping on a great players team does not.

Jokic just averaged a TD while being top 3 in pretty much every category, he really does deserve all the credit. But yea, Jerami Grant was supposed to be what AG is now yet he wanted to be the guy and now he's an afterthought on a lottery team

Facts. Also imagine having to encounter these dudes on a consistent basis:

Like seriously.. You’d have to be clinically insane to want to go through that.

Clearly the Joker brothers have been given some leverage they shouldn’t. But to my knowledge they haven’t caused havoc on the actual floor of the stadium. I think had they entered the court we would see them banned. Maybe they have and I just don’t know about it though?? But the overall tone of your message I agree with. They shouldn’t be able to intimidate fans of players. It’s unacceptable.
