It's Joe Dumars lol

Speaking of trades I wonder if we swing one like last year in the second round?

still a lot of good talent on the board imo
i think we stay at 39

Bobby basically said they would make the pick so yeah barring something really unforeseen, that will happen.

Why do people keep saying "it's Joe Dumars" like it's not surprising he'd make a trade like this? I don't recall him having a reputation of trading away future unconditional first round picks for non proven players.

I really wanted Yang to slip so that we can grab him.

Going into the second round, we gotta grab a C. Raynaud would obviously be the best option but I'm not confident he makes it there.

Any RJ trade rumours still out there?

I guess, so. He is British. 8-)

I guess a 7'0 backup big with a 1.4 A/T could learn from Poeltl.

I ain't gotta clue where to trade RJ, unless y'all want to flip him for KCP + pick or Lonzo Ball. I thought about Smart and Kespert.

Yang was so impressive at the combine so he rose like Coward did.

Passing looks great. Looked okay against guys much smaller than him. We'll see how that works in the league. He doesn't look like he has quick feet and I read that he doesn't have great shooting touch, so that's... less than encouraging for them.

Don't have a strong opinion either way but his player type is fun to watch on the court when they're actually good lol

Only Charlotte has cap room with anything #31-38. I think they want to start winning.

PG LaMelo - NickSmith
SG Barrett - Kon - Jeffries
SF Miller - Kon - Green
PF Bridges - Diabate - Salaun
P Nurkic - Kalkbrenner (or Raynuad)

Yeah, passing bigs with size who can drive a bit are a lot of fun when they're good, agreed!

We got Mogbo, Shead and Chomche in the 2nd round last year. Not sure which direction they are going to but I am excited.

I love Knueppel for the Hornets. If Ball/Miller is the core and it appears that it is, they needed someone who could play off them as a shooter, playmaker, defender, secondary ballhandler and Kon does all that. Hornets need to start building a team and not just be a collection of individuals.

In the matter of a few days, Joe Dumars has traded 2 potential '25 lottery picks (one of which could be top 7/8) in order to

1) move up 10 spots to acquire a mid 1st
2) acquire pick #23

And finally got to the last year of CJ's horrible contract, only to trade it for 2 years of Poole's. Insane stuff.

The Athletic's best available players:

My guess on who each team takes:

31. Minnesota - Tyrese Proctor, PG/SG
32. Boston - Ryan Kalkbrenner, C
33. Charlotte - Rasheer Flemming, PF/C
34. Charlotte - Maxime Raynaud, C
35. Philadelphia - Noah Penda, SF
36. Brooklyn - Bogoljub Markovic, PF
37. Detroit - John Tonje, SG
38. Indiana - Kam Jones, PG/SG or Ryan Nembhard, PG
40. Toronto - Sion James / Adou Thiero / Jalon Moore / Jamir Watkins / Ryan Nembhard

Assuming Kalkbrenner, Flemming, and Raynaud are gone, I kind of like Johni Broome - very steady big who can do a bit of everything. Another fighter who I think will excel in the playoffs.
