We would need to give them the #46 pick to get rid of Jett, and the Nets still might not do it.Idiosyncratic wrote:Nets are trying to be really bad next year. We have Jett Howard who I believe can secure that #1 draft lottery seed. They have pick 36 (and Jett's dad on their staff). Let's make it happen

I don't mind the pick. Not a bad swing with the 25th pick. Just was hoping for one of the Cs on the board for when WCJ take his yearly vacation. Also i feel kinda bad for Queen.

I like Richardson’s instincts and propensity to shoot. Looks like he could shoot a 3 out of a paper bag, super tight and great in limited space. I don’t see him being anything more than a little scoring pinch off the bench at some point but we do need that.

Brooklyns 2nd round pick should be available, no way after drafting 5 1st round picks, they want to use those 2nds.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft Thread 2.0
Highly doubt the Magic will trade up for Raynaud tonight.
We’ve got 46 and 57. I’m sure one is getting sold for cash.
Sion James if he’s still there at 46 would be nice.
If we have 57, Poulakidas. If he goes undrafted, two-way.

Koby Brea should be our target tonight.
However, I’m ready to be disappointed and Fleming/Raynaud/Brea are off the board by the time we pick.

Yeah, I think Weltman has to move up here if he plans on shedding salary from one of the bigs.
Please dont sit on your hands and hope someone falls in your lap if teams are willing to get rid of seconds at the top.

Caleb for the 39. Send him back to Canada and get Fleming or Raynaud.Knightro wrote:

Re: 2025 NBA Draft Thread 2.0
Draft Board
1. Fleming
2. Kam Jones - i could be talked into him over Fleming
3. Penda
4. Broome - Switchable big Mosely covets
5. Proctor
6. Brea
7. Raynaud somewhat switchable for a 7'
8. Small - All small back court
I reckon one or two of these guys are available at 46, but I'd prefer the Magic identify their guy and go get him....fully expecting them to stay put and pick some one i have never heard of (thats what pick 57 is for)

Re: 2025 NBA Draft Thread 2.0
Several things I do not like about this pick. First most importantly.
- Wrong Michigan team
- You had the right Michigan team player in Wolf that addresses a concern WWAAYY higher
- With this additional AB is still our most reliable backcourt player
- With this addition, who the heck is going to develop the point guard skill?
- Bane was supposed to solve the backcourt scoring problem. Not the 25th pick. So calm down those in the back.
- Already with an injury history
I welcome the newb with open arms but I honestly see this kid as a massive rookie contract in / out.

Trade the 2nd second rounder to move up for Kalkenbrenner
If you see something suspicious, say something suspicious.

not sure i understand this. massive rookie contract? he will make about $3mil/yr with a last year option around $6mil. how is that massive?
and who knows if he develops better PG skills than Black? and they could play together.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft Thread 2.0
I do think they have to move up if they want a C.
Look at teams in front of us ; Hornets, Pistons, Pacers (traded up), Wizards, Warriors, Lakers (traded up) all could really use a backup center. Warriors and Pacers I think both would love Broome as he can pass in their systems and play right now. Hornets seem like a threat to take Raynaud/Fleming if they stick with their shooting theme.
Maybe they have no plans to move Goga or Isaac and are going to bring Mo back and don't want a center? Who knows.
There's like 16-17 guys I like remaining right now as legit solid 2nd round prospects and we pick 16th so we'll see what happens if we sit.
